I'm trying to find information on becoming a annual passholder at wdw. The wdw site didn't really give me too much so can anyone tell me what benefits you really get as a AP?

Now if I get my fl resident friend to buy my annual pass how would that work exactly? I would be giving them the money for the deposit and what not but pay off the monthly stuff myself

That will only work if you are a FL resident with FL ID, you have to be present with the ID to buy or redeem the AP voucher for those.

Can't have someone buy a pass for you. You must show ID when buying the pass and if your ID is from out of state you will need to show that you either have a Florida bank account or that you pay an electric or cable bill in your name in Florida.

Yes, as the PP's have stated you must show your FL resident ID/Drivers License or proof of residency at will-call when you redeem your voucher.

So for someone like me who lives out of state do you think it would be worth it for me to buy? I would like to go to disney world often and if this would help me then I would buy it

You have to figure in things like how many days you will be at WDW, whether you will stay onsite or off, how likely are you to benefit from discounts on merchandise, etc. Only you can answer that question I'm afraid.

There are plenty of people who have APs and don't live in Florida.

I live in Chicago and have had an annual pass for 15 years.

I'm from the Midwest and I bought one this month. I usually do not as I'm at WDW about once a year for 3-5 days.

I bought a 3 day base pass for my March trip, but with the cancelation of a big trip in the fall I will now be planning a WDW trip in October (Fall is my usual time to go and the spring trip was planned anticipating a trip elsewhere this fall).

So I knew there will be at least 3-4 days (and this one would have a park hopper due to F&W) besides the 3 in March and the price for those two sets of tickets was within sight of the AP cost (less than $100, though not by much).

There is also a chance that I will be in Orlando in July which means even buying one day at the parks would put me over what I have paid for the AP.

It was a gamble but I decided to go ahead with the AP. If I don't make a the mid summer trip I might try to do a Dec/Jan trip which would still make the AP the better ticket deal.

I did take into consideration:

Park Hopper (value $65 per trip)

Free Parking (July trip would be off site)

Discounts (I used it about 1/2 dozen times in March for food/merch)

Possible AP discounts on rooms (I do tend towards room only stays not packages but I have plans for that contingency)

I will look at the cost/value near to renewal time to see if it was worth it for me, but this year with multiple trips was the year to at least try it. For me I think I'd have to go at least 3 times to make it worth the investment, or plan at least 2 trips with more than 4/5 days each with hoppers.

So if I wanted to bring a guest with me could I? If I was a AP or do they have to pay regular park admission?

I'm confused... did you use to work at WDW? Based on your previous posts?

Of course you can't "Bring a guest".

Never mind I'm not getting much help here and yes I did used to work there. Thank you to those who have me the links
