I currently have an AP that expires on 9/28; DH's AP expires on 11/5. I can book my FP+ on 9/29. I was planning on renewing my AP before that date and was just going to get DH an 8 day PH for this trip. Now my father owns a DVC and is in the process of transferring ownership to me and my sister (50/50). My parents bought it so my mom, me and my sister could enjoy and my mom since passed away:sad1:. Dad doesn't want it. My problem is I know a DVC AP renewal is $409 compared to a regular renewal of $574. How long should I hold off before renewing? I know I need to have a valid ticket to book my FP+. The paperwork has been started in mid-June but I'm not sure how long it will take. DH's PH tix will be $419 and a DVC renewal for his AP would be $409. I'm assuming since I will be a DVC owner I can get him an AP?

Sorry for the long message but any suggestions would be appreciated. I'm also assuming if I buy and AP at 574 and then get DVC, I don't get a refund?

Weigh the advantages to either choice.

I'd not sweat the "earlier" FP+ if you can get the better AP deal.
But, that's just my assessment.
