AP for DVC Members

I assume if there is a ticket price increase then the price for APs also go up. Is the DVC discount always the same dollar amount or is it a percentage discount on the APs?

Also, do I order APs from Member's Services for the discount or do I just call the main WDW number and tell them I am a member?
Will I get a voucher mailed to me that I can activate when I arrive?
We are going to be at WDW the last week of September and I want to get my APs now so to avoid any price increases but I don't the expiration countdown to begin until the first day I use them.

My "understanding" is they are good from the date you actually exchange the voucher for the AP. Please, if I am wrong in my thinking someone let me know. I plan to order mine very soon for our upcoming NYE trip.

You would need to call Member Services or order through a link on the DVC Member Website. The discount is $100 off a standard adult AP, $125 off a Premium adult AP.

We bought ours through the DVC member website back in April. They sent us green cards which we exchanged for our AP's at the EPCOT ticket booth. There's a list of where you can redeem them for you AP's that comes with the green cards.

You are correct. We activated ours the day after we arrived at FW so we got a full day. They will ask for your DVC membership card too, as proof you get the discount. Also, your name will be on the card so you can't "lend" it to someone else.
