AP for both DL and WDW?

Is there still an AP that allows access to both DL/CA and WDW? If so, can u upgrade if you decide to do both properties? I am leaving on Tuesday for DL and was planning to get an AP so I can go back one more time. However, I may have an opportunity to go to WDW at the end of April. I just won’t know until after I get back from DL.

Cost is about $2270 after tax on the WDW "half" for the premier and you can only buy at a ticket booth. You can upgrade from a DLR AP but depending on what pass you'll be upgrading from and how long you'll be at WDW it might be more cost effective to just buy tickets. I would do the math on what you will save having a AP at WDW to see if you can justify the cost.

You need to price out what your tickets would costs vs the price of the premier pass.

Also, price out the difference between buying two separate annual passes, as often they can be cheaper depending on what level you want at each. This is especially true if you are a Florida or California Resident or a DVC member as it adds additional options and discounts on passes.

Our family has DL Signature APs. We went to WDW last month so we looked into upgrading to the Premier AP, but ultimately ended up upgrading just one AP to take advantage of discounts. The rest of us bought 9 day Parkhoppers because they were much less than the cost of the Premier. We are not DVC members so I don't know how much their AP costs.

The gold DVC annual pass is slightly less than the cost of the upgrade between signature plus and premier.

I looked into it 5 years ago. It didn't make financial sense to upgrade. Just be sure you calculate it carefully.

We got the Premier Pass one year, but we went to WDW first & then upgraded our passes at DLR later. I would not do this visiting the parks in the other order. You have to link your WDW park tickets/passes to MDE well in advance of your trip to properly preplan your trip (which is absolutely essential at WDW). If you upgrade to the Premier you have to do it at the resort. So, you’d have to do it either before leaving DLR, or wait until you arrive at WDW, which negates your ability to book FP+ in advance. All the FP would be long gone & your trip will become nothing but long miserable wait times.

Or if you are doing WDW first buy tickets or a wdw ap and then upgrade that.

Yes, that is what I meant. I would only recommend the upgrade if doing WDW first, so that you have a pass you can link ahead of time. Buying a ticket wouldn’t really work though unless you upgraded to the Premier before leaving the resort.
