AP first time usage

If I purchased a DVC AP online, asked for will call as the delivery option and linked the AP to my daughter on my MDE, do I actually have to stop at will call/guest service, or will it automatically activate when she goes through the tapstile the first time?

Last year I did the same and still had to go to a guest relations outside of a park or the one at DTD. They had to see my will call confirmation, photo id and my DVC card. After a lot of typing and entering information they scanned my magic band. I also got a paper AP to use for the dining and merchandise discounts as you can't use the magic band for that.

K - thanks. I still have my AP for discounts ... Mine expires in August. But I guess I'll have to stop at GS anyway....
