AP (DVC) question?

Our next trip is for 13 nights in October & November. We have 12 one-day park hopper passes. We received them to make up for a DVC mistake that cost us a bit of money. We were originally thinking of using the free passes & buying additional tickets. Now we are considering an AP and saving the park hoppers for a future trip with non-DVC members.

Here are the questions:
(1) Do these one-day park hopper passes expire and if so when?
(2) Can you purchase AP's other than at WDW?
(3) What is the DVC discount on APs (10%)?
(4) Can I purchase an AP now so that I avoid any price increase between now & my October?

There is no DVC discount on AP's. There is a discount (about 5%) with Disney Club membership.

I assume that the one day Hoppers won't expire, but you should read the fine print on the pass- as those are special passes, not available to the general public.

You can buy AP's at the Disney Store, but will receive a voucher which must be activated at a WDW theme park. Purchasing the voucher would avoid any price increase between now and Oct.

Specially issued tickets like the kind you appear to have very often have expiration dates (if so it should be on the ticket). Also, make sure they actually allow hopping. Moreover, a restriction that the ticket cannot be transfered to others is more likely to be enforced with specially issued tickets by checking ID at the gate than any regular ticket; thus you may not want to try transferring them to others.

There is no DVC discount on an AP. The only DVC ticket discount is on the length of stay passes. If you are a Disney Club member there is a 5% discount.

The AP itself is issued at the parks or Guest Relations in Downtown Disney. What you can buy in advance is an AP voucher, and thus lock in current price, that you then exchange for actual AP at the parks. Those are available through CRO or some Disney Stores.

the DS does not stock APs but needs three weeks to order them for you. We bought ours at the Inernational Gateway and only took five minutes.
