I read somewhere (over the rainbow) about coming up with a scheme where people who don't have AP's team up with people who do and get discounts on their park tickets ......

Was this set up in the end?

Was thinking about it, and as a non-AP holder this would be great, ok you may only save about3 pond a ticket but i still all counts doesnt it??

Not sure how it would work - I guess you would need a really really nice, kind wonderful, beutiful, sexy and fantastic :p AP holder who is happy to either meet up with other members on the day they visit the park and buy tickets for them - or who can come to an arrangment beforehand where the AP holder purchases the tickets on behalf of another member and sends it to them in time for theri trip

So what do we think?? Obviously all arrangements will be made at a members own risk but we seem like a decent lot pirate:

Well if any wonderful AP holders is interested - we are hoping to go visit DLP at the end of June and would be your very best friend if you could help us out :teeth:

Here is the link to the thread where people were trying to find out a bit more details.

Thanks Cyrano - thats the thread I was talking about - but it doesnt seem that anyone started a thread?

I started the thread about the annual passports and at the moment have been trying to get in touch on the phone to the annual passport office, have tried a couple of time listened to a long message (none of which I understood!) then the phone gets cut off, so I am no further forward. I have today received my annual passport brochure but as I’m pretty sure that you can't buy one passport then "sponsor" the other 3 at the same time I am going to get them all when I get there. I will start another thread asking if anyone is willing to sponsor us (4 passports) which would mean they would receive I think without checking a further 12 months on theirs and we would get 10% off ours. To start the thread going which others can then add to etc.
I will also be more than happy to sponsor others when we get back from our trip.

The information I was given on another forum is that you have to be in receipt of the proper "Plastic" passport before you can sponsor anyone else - so you need to have visited once to collect your AP before sponsoring.

This is the only post regarding parrainaige I can find and it's quite old, but the information may still be correct. :confused3

And regarding the free 12 months I should then get, do I have to renew my pass for a year and then get 12 months on top of that? Or do I just present my pass and get 12 months added? It would help if I could understand a bit more french, but I just cant make head or tail of the form! Finally, is it true that you renew your annual pass the month before it expires? ie. my pass expires 28th January but I will be in DLRP on Dec 1st so I guess I can renew it then and it will then be up for renewal again on 28th Jan 2007? Sorry if this post is hard to understand, I know myself what I mean...trust me!!

Yes, you give the form to your friends, they bring it back to you when it is comleted and stamped by the AP bureau.
You HAVE to have the form with you (although everything is in the computer) and you will get 12 month for free (not on top, you have to pay nothing and the 0,00 is printed on the pass).
AFAIK you can reniew it only 1 month before or after expiration, but you may ask when you are there.

I am not planning to visit DLRP until after my current AP expires...does this mean that they will not accept my parrainage form unless I go there in the month before it expires. I am also going in July so I will have to go to the passport office and sort it out then. Surely they can add the extra month on at any time if you have the completed validated parrainage form. it all sounds very complicated to me! :confused3

No I was explained this when I took the Parrinage form in for my family to buy AP's. You have to go in the month before your renewal date is.We always go may and december so it didn't matter to us but I can see it would to some people.
