Does your AP have to be activated for AP room discounts to show up? I purchased AP's but we won't activate them until October. When looking up room rates on the WDW website it seems to only acknowledge that we are DVC owners.

No, your AP does not have to be activated. I was able to book an AP discounted room, online, for us in May, before our AP's were activated. You do need to be logged into MDE, and of course your AP needs to be linked.

When you go to the special offers page, there should be a message across the top telling you what you are currently able to see. Below is what shows for me, because I am a Florida resident and an AP holder.

"You are currently able to view products and prices for Florida Residents and Passholders. Offers for other affiliations may be available. Sign in or update your profile to check for additional offers."

They are linked in MDE and I'm logged in. The only thing that shows up is DVC. I guess I'm going to need to call someone and get this figured out. Thanks!

I wasn't able to see AP discounts prior to activation. I called and was able to book with discount. I called tech support and was told i'm not supposed to be able to see ap discount prior to activation. I realize that conflicts with what people say on here.

My pass is definitely not activated and I just revised a reservation to an AP discount room yesterday. That stinks that some people can see it and some can't.
