Hello everyone. New AP discounts came out today, but I cannot check until I activate it once I get there. Can someone please look up november 15-22 at the DLH. Also, any of these days blocked out of discounts and do you get any extra perks with this deal. Was hoping to book a standard room if still available. Thanks so much!

A standard room at DLH for your dates is $373.86, Premium Concierge = $504.43, and 2-br Suite = $922. That's all they have available for all your dates.

Thanks for the heads up! I just made a new reservation for GCH and cancelled my old one. Saved over $100 and bumped up to premium view :goodvibes

ETA: for comparison, GCH is $401.29 for Deluxe Partial View and $455.29 for Premium for your dates. I didn't write down the rest but there were no standard rooms available and not sure what else they have above what I just listed.

How about October 19th - 24th @ GCH? Thanks, we are still trying to decide on APs for the family. With a savings on the hotel it would push me towards an AP (well my hubby is really the one needing the push :) ).

I would be so grateful if someone was able to check our dates, we are from Oregon and not activating the APs until we get there in December. Right now we have a premium view room booked at the Disneyland Hotel December 10-16th. We have always stayed at the Grand but decided to save and try the DLH this trip....however if the price is right we wouldn't be upset staying at the Grand :)

I don't see anything for your dates. However, the dates from the 20-24 come up with this: Deluxe Premium = $434; Premium = $487; DTD = $491; Stand. Concierge = $649; Premium Concierge = $706

Here are the GCH rates for your dates:
Woods/Ct = $398.33
Del. Partial = $429.33
Std. = 431
DTD = 490.67
Premium = 492.33
Std Conc. = 655
Prem Conc = 718
1 br ste = 890.33
2 br = 1232.67

For DLH:
Std = 329.67
Deluxe = 362
Prem = 393
Prem Conc = 550
2 br = 965

ETA: Interesting to note that the rate for a standard room at GCH for your dates is more expensive than the Woods/Courtyard and Deluxe Partial View, both of which are better!

THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!

You are so kind for checking that all out and sharing all of the options. It is so strange that the standard view is less, but I'm not complaining :) I thought we had a decent rate for a premium view room at the DLH but these rates might move us back over to the Grand :cheer2:

Just an update: The deal was too good to pass up so I snuck out of my office to reserve a room. She told me the only room that was available at the Grand was concierge (not sure why it shows up available online). We ended up saving an additional $80 off of what we had originally booked. DLH premium room 2763.54 December 10-16th

Woohoo!! Glad it worked!

I immediately booked a room when I saw the deal. Our original room type (deluxe view) wasn't showing as available and I was on my way out the door to take kids to school, so I just grabbed the premium room online and figured I could cancel the old one when I got back. I called and they cancelled my original booking and confirmed that the new one had gone through; I might have been able to get the original rebooked at the discount but I couldn't seem to get the CM to understand what I was asking for and I decided to live with the premium view :rotfl: I still saved $100+ and have the 5 x 7 and fast passes to boot.

What are the dates of this promotion? Activating our AP early December. Thanks!!

Stop me if I'm wrong, but these rates don't seem as good as a 20% discount that CheapTickets or Orbitz offers. Did Disney raise the rates of the rooms and then offer a discount?

For our dates through Orbitz it was $286 and with the AP discount it is $263 so for us the Orbitz 20% was more expensive.

It probably depends on whether or not your dates are on, or include, a weekend. The AP fall discount is 25% but only if you go Sun-Thurs. I believe it reverts to the regular 10% on the weekend, so that could explain why 20% on Orbitz looks better.

One advantage to this over Orbitz, though, is that you don't have to pay the entire cost upfront when you book.

Looks like the discounts start the day after we leave :/. Thanks DizMe for looking!

Actually, the discount starts the second day of your trip, I think, but I'm not sure how the rates compare on your dates to what you have now. The deluxe partial view is $434, which is what I already had booked (before the discount) for my trip in Dec for that same view, so they still seem a little high. If they are better than what you currently have, you can stay the first night at the regular rate and then get the discounted room price but you'd probably have to call and get that worked out. BTW, you don't have to get ap's for the whole family to get the discount, you just need one. That will also give you dining and merchandise discounts, too.

ETA: Oops!! I'm sorry, momof6princesses, I was wrong. You are correct that the discount begins after you leave.

And...right now, there are blockout dates that pop up when you pull up certain dates for certain hotels. The discount will not be applicable for certain time frames.

For example, if I wanted to go this year in the same week I usually go and stay at the PPH (and that week is usually cheaper), I would not get the best discount. I'd have to wait another week and go then.

I went to the AP hotel calendar and typed 12/7 - 12/10 at the PPH, as that is when I would stay -- and a bunch of blockout dates came up for the Late Fall Room Offer:

Book Through

November 19, 2014

Valid Travel Dates

October 26, 2014 through December 18, 2014

Blockout Dates:

October 31, November 1, November 7, November 8, November 13 through November 16 and November 21 through December 13.

Note: What Sherry is referencing above is the Late Fall Room Offer; which is NOT the new AP Fall Discount Package. Be sure to look carefully because they appear similar, but there are lots of black-out dates on the late fall room deal, the rates are higher, and you don't get the FP and the picture.

Here is a screen capture to show the difference. Note that the premium room is cheaper than the standard and is part of the ap package, while the standard room is the late fall offer:

But it's important to note (because some people will be looking for specific dates that are not available) that the Fall Package is not available for all dates (it's likely blocked out). It's not available for the early December dates I would need, so I'd have to go to a back-up set of dates to use it the following week, and even then it is only available for some of the dates and not all.

The Late Fall Discount is the next best offer, but there are still blockouts to work around. For those who can go at any time within the dates that are available with the AP Fall Package, that's great. The dates that I would normally go, however (which are normally cheaper), are not going to work with that AP Fall Package discount.

It's a confusing discount set-up this year - it was much easier and more straightforward last year.

Sherry, I think the block-out dates you saw were for the fall room offer. I was able to get the AP fall package rate during the dates that showed up for you as blocked. There is no mention of those block-out dates in the ap fall package offer, just a lower 10% (instead of 25%) rate for Fri-Sat.

ETA: I do think there are quite a few dates and rooms that are already sold out, though
