AP Discount on day tix

I'm a new Universal AP holder (WWHP put me over the top). Loved WWHP. Just great stuff.

I'm heading to WDW in a few weeks, but taking a day at Islands of Adventure, with some family tagging along. I know I can get a 10% discount of the non-hopping day pass. I'm wondering:

1. Do I need to buy the tix at the park to get the discount?

2. Can I do this ahead of time (or do I need the family members with me)?

You can buy tickets through the website. Just log into the AP page and order from there. You can order over the phone by calling 407-PASS4FUN. Or the phone number on the back of your AP. Or you can buy them at the park. I believe the only discounted tickets that you purchase are for multi-day tickets but things sometimes change on a daily basis. The best way to keep up is to log in on the website.
