Do DVC Members get a discount on the price of APs?

No we don't. Wish we did. We only get a discount on whatever they are calling the length of stay passes now.

This discoun t to equal the FL resident Ap rate would probably be the biggest PR promo since free passes the first few years of sales. It would make so many of us SO HAPPY and even bigger fans of DVC. It would also help sales...IMHO! I think Disney is missing the boat here. Fast, easy way to have very positive PR, more dollars spent in the parks by us, repeat customers who have been traveling off site more and more lately, and a great incentive to buy pre-sale SSR. Listening DVC???

I would only hope that AP's would be available to DVC members at a discount. There would be no advantage to Disney to give such a discount, since they already have a "captive" and willing to paying customer

I'm not so sure about that. I think there are still a bunch of members that don't buy AP, and limit the time they $pend in the parks. There may also be a lot of members who don't add on because of the cost of park passes. There may also be DVC prospects that could be easier sold, if there was an AP discount.

Now all we need is a marketing whiz at DVC to come up with a business case to sell to WDW mgmt.

We haven't had APs since 1998 and that's because we had a two-week trip for our honeymoon so they really made sense. We buy passes as needed from AAA, but spend a lot more time shopping, playing mini-golf, at DisneyQuest and the waterparks and off property, as well as just taking it easy. If we could get cheaper passes, we'd spend more time in the parks but it just adds up too quickly since we're doing the same things over and over again.
