With the extension yesterday of general public disounts through August, I was hoping AP discounts would be extended as well. I logged on to the passholder site this morning and it seems AP rates are still only available through June 3rd. Has anyone heard when AP rates will be extended, as well? Thanks. :goodvibes

I am right there with you. I did the same thing myself this morning. I checked the AP site. Heres hoping it will be soon. Could really use it for our July trip.:surfweb:

I was pretty excited to see the general sale offered- at 35% off, here's hoping AP holders get 45% off...Beach Club here we come!!! :cool1:

We are planning a return in July. I called last night and priced the extended offer. My CM said that they had not changed the AP ones and did not elaborate if there was a yet on there lol. I am crossing fingers and toes that I will get a good bounceback offer or an extension for the AP.

We are going to Disney May 28 - June 5, staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, Pool View room. We have the annual passholders rate for May 28 - June 3, and was going to pay rack rate for the last night, June 4.

When the new discounts came out, I called and applied the new discount to just the last night, since the AP rate was better. I had to pay another deposit, but it still saved me over $100 for that one night!

I'm really excited!!!

I have no idea how reliable it is, but the CM I was speaking to about the new general public codes for our July trip said to look for AP rates in March.

That would be great. We have a late July trip which is currently booked as a room only bounceback (40% off at YC), but I really want to change it to a passholder + dine package. I hope the AP rate is at least as good, if not better, than that.

I just made my reservation tonight and was told to use the GP code and when the AP rate comes out,and switch it. Now I just have to wait:surfweb::worship::worship:

I applied the summer discount to my reservation, but am still hoping for a little better with the AP rate. I can't imagine them NOT offering an AP rate since they did already extend the code for the general public.

I also used the general public code for our July trip. If AP rates come out and are better, how do they apply the AP code? Do they cancel the existing reservation and make a new one with the AP code, or can they just apply the AP code to the existing ressie? If they cancel, can they transfer over my deposit or will they require a second one and refund the first? Thanks for any help.

As long as you aren't changing the type of reservation (for example, going from room only to package), your current ressie will be modified and will not have to be cancelled and rebooked. The only time they have to refund your deposit and take a new one is when changing from room only to pacakge or vice versa. Just changing the code from general public to AP won't change anything else, as long as that is all you do. :goodvibes

Thanks mousefan, that will make things much easier if and when AP codes come out. We are booked with tickets and dining right now, so if better AP codes come out, I will lose the tickets and keep the dining.

Glad to help. I just did that same thing for our April trip... we had booked a bounceback package (dining and one day base ticket) and when AP rates came out, I called and modified the package to a passholder + dine package (no tickets). I also saved an additional 5% as the bounceback savings was 40% vs. 45% for AP holders. It was very easy to do. I am also hoping for summer AP rates so I can change our July ressie from room only to passholder + dine, too. :goodvibes

We are anxiously awaiting too! Our trip STARTS JUNE 3rd! Of course, that would be when the AP rates end. I did the same as other posters- booked with a PIN, but am hoping to get a better rate with AP and possible upgrade to deluxe for maybe 1/2 of our trip. Someone sent me the rate release history and it looks like last year they didn't give summer AP rates til May! That would be way too long for me to wait. Crossing fingers...:woohoo:

I'm hoping August AP rates come out soon. Thinking about buying an AP.

If you are going more than 10 days in 1 calendar year, the AP becomes worth it even if AP rates don't come out. I believe they have AP rates out now until June 3rd - so if you have a trip before that it might help too. Also, if you do not do dining, you can purchase the Tables in Wonderland and 20$ off most table service meals....it basically covers the tip, but is very helpful.
