In 2009 there were discount coupons given to DVC members for 10% off a new AP purchase. Does anyone know if these were given out in 2010 and if so does anyone have one that they are not using? I am going to purchase an AP for the first time and want to save as much $$ on the purchase as possible.

Thanks!

DVC members automatically get a discount on the purchase of an AP. Just show your DVC membership card at the ticket booth or guest relations and you will pay the discounted price. There is no coupon needed.

1. This was a promotion that ended July 31 2009 and has not been repeated.

2. There is no such thing as a "DVC Discount" related to any Annual Passes (No matter what Member Services says).

There are three separate categories (or price ranges) of Annual Passes. The lowest price range is for Florida Residents. There is a higher price range for DVC Members. And the highest price range is "Tourist", which is people who do not qualify for either of the other categories.

And of the 12 possible DVC Member AP types, only one is exactly a $100 difference. The price difference ranges between $35 and $125.

Regular and Premium Annual Passes have the same privileges, no matter which price range they are in.

Hi Thanks for the info! I am going to purchase the AP next Saturday when I get there. We have 10 day park hoppers and a 1 day MYW on our room tickets. We will be using those values toward the purchase of AP's for our family. Do you know if we can get TIW at the same time?

When upgrading to a an AP they only let you apply one ticket. So you could apply the 10 day to the cost of the AP but not the 10 day and and the one day. It is one for one.

By definition an upgrade is taking one ticket and adding cash (or similar) and ending up with one ticket with more entitlements. You cannot combine two tickets to get one ticket with more features.*

* The only exception to this rule is at the water parks (or DQ) where you can combine a one day water park (or DQ) ticket with a base or hopping MYW ticket and a payment to end up with a MYW ticket with the WPF&M option. Your payment will be the difference in price between the one day water park (or DQ) ticket and the cost of the WPF&M option plus tax on the difference.

If you do the upgrade at a Guest Relations Office you can get the TiW Card at the same time. If you do the upgrade at a ticket window you would have to go to a GRO to get the TiW Card.
