AP Discount and DVC

Hi I know there is some debate whether the AP discount coupon and DVC can be used together. So, here is my post...

Has anyone tried to use the AP and DVC discounts together yet. If so did you have to activate the pass immediately or could you wait for the renewal date. I know they do not work on the renewal price but how many people only have an AP that expires for these 2 months? My expires in Sept but I would buy a new pass if I could activate it later.

Just wondering what is actually happening at the gates not speculation. Thanks

The official internal published information is that the special AP Discount Referral Card will work with DVC-priced APs (and PAPs). Note that the price for a DVC AP (or PAP) is a determined price, similar to the determined price for Florida Residents, and is not a discount from anything.

And note that the referral cards cannot be used for a renewal-rate Pass; it must be for a new AP and not a voucher or exchange certificate.

So it can only be used for a brand new activated pass and will be valid for one year from date of activation.

So you will not be able to do what you are asking as far as delay.
