Ap & Ddp

Yes and no. We have Annual Passes. We booked our DDP through AAA. We purchased the dining plan for every member of our party for each day/night that we stayed at a resort. We had to also purchase at least a 1 day ticket for each member of our party -- and that's what we purchased "1 day tickets only". We can put these tickets against the purchase of new Annual Passes (not renewals). The only discount we could get for our resort room was the AAA discount (not an AP discount). We did this last year and are doing in again in July of this year.

The AP doesn't make you eligible for the Dining Plan; you'd have to gain eligibility either by purchasing a qualifying MYW package (including MORE admission tickets, which of course you don't necessarily need), or by booking a DVC reservation on DVC points.

The AP does qualify you for the Disney Dining Experience discount card. I believe the price is $65 and I found that if I was already a AP holder, I would have been better off, overall, going DDE instead of DDP. YMMV.
