Okay, so our first trip "home" is quickly approaching  and it's time for me to figure out our ticket options. I'm so confused! Sorry, I'm sure these have been asked before....

First of all, I need to renew my AP, but this time with the DVC member discount. Should I just wait until we arrrive at Guest Svc. at our first park upon our arrival? OR, should I call and order ahead of time?

I would like to get the DDE card this trip. Do I need to order THAT ahead of time or get at GS as well? Is there a limit to how many people you can have in your dining party to get the discount?

DH and kids (ages 3,5,7) will probably just get MYW tickets since we'll be taking just one WDW trip this year. Any DVC discount? If I want 8 day park hoppers for them, should I just get them AP's for the cost?

Again, I'm loaded w/ ques. and feeling a bit  Thanks for any advice you may have!!!

You can get your DDE card at any Guest Services location. This is a new procedure and many people are taking advantage of it, instead of ordering DDE a month in advance. I think the limit is 10 people per DDE card.

There is no DVC discount on MYW tickets.

Whether you "renew" or get a new AP depends on when you're going. You can renew 30 days from the expiration of your last AP.

You will need to take care of the AP before you buy the DDE card so you can get the AP price.

You can do both of these at any guest services window.

We buy everyone 10 day non-expiring tickets with all the options. I figure we can get several trips out of these tickets with water parks etc.

We do not do the AP's for our family since I cannot guarantee going twice a year.

Also- the price of tickets are always increasing.

Have a great trip!

If you renew the AP it will be backdated to the expiration of your current one. You may want to purchase new one for the additional $30 or so to keep it active longer especially if your next trip can be planned to use it within the year.

For an adult an 8 day park hopper ticket (no water parks) is $283.29. that ticket will expire. If you wanted it to be non expiring then the price goes up to $373.82., which is almost the same as the DVC annual pass.

If you bought a DVC annual pass for the first time it is $370.62.

We are going in August and plan on purchasing the 10 day as well. Also, we are going to use up the last day park day and water park option our 7 days hoppers from 2001. We got at least 3 trips out of the 2001 tickets.

Thanks. Does the DVC annual pass include water parks? And, what is the childs price for an AP w/ DVC discount?

Is my thinking logical??.....If we're going to use 8 - 9 days worth of tix on our upcoming trip, I'm thinking just get the annual passes IN CASE we go again this year? It seems the prices would be similar?

You would need the Premium AP to get the Water Parks.

Prices:
Ages 3 - 9: AP $307 or PAP $400
Ages 10+: AP $348 or PAP $454

Prices don't include taxes
