AP Codes are up!

FINALLY just got off the phone with WDW this is what I found out...NO DISCOUNTS at WL other than they had 12-16 & 12-17 CV for $200 a night. My DH wants me to cancel our WL ressie at rack rate and stay at FQ or CSR for the AP rate and I just HATE to do that. What is the chance that WL will end up with the AP rate for 12-15 to 12-22? Should I change the ressie or take my chances and leave it alone? I need some serious help!!!!!!! We have wanted to stay at WL at Christmas time for a few years now and have never been able to make it happen. I absolutley HATE to pay rack rate but maybe it is worth it to stay there? HELP!!!!!!!!!! :confused3

What's the difference between a courtyard view and standard view at WL? Our rack rate for WL in December for a standard room was $240 including tax.

I think courtyard view value season rack rate is $270. I have courtyard view AAA rate Dec 9-15 for $229.50, which would be $270 - 15%.

Maybe the FL resident rates will be better for those of you with AP's and also live in FL. I'm holding out for that before I really make a decision. I want to see if anything beats my $169 per night at the Swan for 10/19-10/21 or may add a day if the rate is right.

I finally got through Poly was not better than my GV AAA rate, only a king bed at the CR, BWI had a concierge - nothing worked for me and not better than my AAA rate.

Maybe I'll try back later, but I was on hold forever.

Same here! I'm glad I was able to get the AAA rate ... when my TA applied the AP code, she said it was more than the AAA rate. Go figure.

What totally and completely ticks me off is that they do have rooms available but won't give the AP discount on them.

I can get a AAA discount but not an AP discount. WTH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

They may have AAA discounts left but not AP. AAA gets so many discounts and AP so many if at all. They only give out AP discounts if they need to get some rooms filled. It stinks but it's the way it is, besides it doesn't sound like the AP rates are much better than AAA this time around.

THe problem is that the rates change from value to non value for some dates...for example I check in 12/19-12/29 but rate increases double on the 3rd day to $420 a night!
I am also re-considering renewing my AP also.

The last few times I tried to get AP or FL resident rates the CM said they are exactly the same discount rate. They hold so many rooms for each discount and when they book that is it.

Hence the reason the last 3 trips were spent at the Swan and Dolphin...$125 per night for a deluxe room at a great location

I'm really depressed now. I was hoping for an AP rate for WL for my dates of 12/3-12/7 but they don't have any. I have it at AAA rate since Oct 06 but I was hoping for something better. What is the AP for if you can't even get any decent discounts on things. I have AP's for both Universal and Disney and Universal has better discounts for their passholders merchandise, food, etc. Disney keeps going up in price but not in their discounts or perks. When you pay so much in advance you expect to have some sort of perks. Sorry to vent but I'm really bummed about this.

The AP rates are considerably better for certain resorts which is why I think it is totally bogus!!!!!!!!! Called when they were first released and from what I was told they never released any of the rooms for AP rates.

I am NOT happy!!!!!! Not sure what to do. We may just stay off-site again or my DS wants to try Universal.

See to me, here's the thing:

The AP is great if you wanna make more than 1 long trip per year. Now, my feeling is, Disney started offering AP discounts as they knew anyone travelling more than once a year would be much more enticed to do so with a nice discount. Thus, you buy an AP.

That's why I think Disney is trying to phase them out. To not offer decent room discounts really makes a big difference in deciding whether or not to make more than 1 trip per year. And who's going to buy an AP if they only go to Disney once a year?

AP is for 366 days of unlimited park admission. Perks are just that, perks.

This is why one should never buy an AP for the discounts.

Nothing available for my dates either in November. Glad I didn't renew my annual pass, and yes that(room discounts) is why I have always bought one before. Price wise we can do a lot better with the 10day ticket with plusses compared to the annual pass.

That's true but sometimes they release more blocks of rooms when a FL discount is released. So maybe that is worth waiting for.

Has anyone been able to get an AP rate for more than one room? I asked this on the "october code watch" thread but no answer so far. The CM gave me the AP rate for all 3 of my rooms. When I asked she said the new rule isn't being used yet. I am getting nervous now. I asked for hard copies. They can't change the rate from the hard copy at check-in can they?

Nothing at GF for our dates. Tried AAA for the 2 rooms not yet AAA and still nothing!!

Has anyone gotten a good deal on a moderate for Nov. (Not during Thanksgiving)? If so please post it with all the details. Are they charging different prices for certain days of the week? I know next year they are but just wondering about this discount. Also has anyone gotten the Family Suites at the All Stars? Also what is the price of a AP now since they raised their prices. Its been years since I had one,and was just wondering if I should get one or wait to see if a package is a better deal. Thanks

Got through to CRO at 10:05 ET and I was told the computers are down. I think I'm wasting my time anyway. I have AAA rate at WL for 11/28-12/05 and as popular as WL has become, I have little hope for the discount.

The attendance at WDW has increased for the once not so busy times. The economy seems to be better than some politicians say and the dollar is down so foreign visitors find a trip to the USA cheap.

Moderates during value season (checking in the Sunday after Thanksgiving) are going for 105 + tax a night.

I was so excited when I logged on this morning and found the AP codes were out! I had made ressies for 2 rooms at POP for the week after Thanksgiving for oldest DS and his family, and youngest DS and me. I switched from AAA discount to the AP code and saved $104.00. Not as much as I had hoped for but still helps!:goodvibes
