Ap Code Is Out!

has anyone had any luck the first week (through 12/9) in December?
----------------------------------

Rooms available at Pop right up till last night - both preferred and standard - and suddenly this morning, within minutes of AP being released, there were no rooms at all for 12/2 through 12/10.. Sounds odd to me.. :confused3

Just because there are rooms available does not mean that there are rooms available that they will attribute the code to . . . . unfortunately they are two separate critters. :(

I was barely on hold at all. I'm never going to get rid of my rollover minutes. :)

I booked a cabin at FW and saved almost $480 on our 6 night stay (11/26 - 12/02).

Rack Rate $1613.28 including tax
AP Rate $1134.00 including tax
Savings $479.28

Mmm.. So I've been told.. But considering the very large number of rooms at Pop you would think there would be "something" today.. I was offered 2 different All Stars hotels (which are already supposed to be booked solid due to the Pop Warner groups) but I'd rather not be right smack dab in the center of all that "action".. LOL

Great availability for me for the one night I need (11/3)...DVC stay at OKW the other nights. I did not check every resort but, of the ones I checked online, only Contemp. and POFQ came up as not available.
The All Stars were right at $90/night
Mods were $129
AKL was $190
BW was $298
Poly $325
Yacht $388

Good luck to all.

When I called I got much the same thing, but Poly was sold out, on the phone and when I finally got through on the website. And the website only gave me water view at BW which was much higher than your number above. I really wanted the WL since we're following the one night (11/4) with our DVC stay at VWL like you are at OKW.

Speed, I knew that they would bring the bags over, but I have also heard of significant delays. Since we'll have a car, we can bring them ourselves, check in and leave them. I just wanted to avoid the hassle of driving to another resort. If I got WL, I could have come down to the lobby, dropped the bags, checked back in at the counter and been off. No big deal.

Spoke w/ dh and he's fine w/ AKL. Particularly since it's much less $ wise than the other deluxe options.

I think it's just that concierge rooms are rarely discounted.

I had AAA discounts already and had no problems. I also just said I wanted to apply the AP code.

It depends on the AAA discount. Sometimes you are better off on the higher priced rooms, such as concierge, using the 15% off discount rather than the AP rate.

I just checked on some hotels, the mods actually, for that week. i do not have a disney visa, but wanted to be sure it owuld even be worth my while to try to get a general public discount. The only mods available that week are CSR and CBR. I checked 12.2-12.8. The savings from I was told, amount to $40 a night off the room . But it does have to be booked as a package. It still amounted to $270 off for 6 nights. Not too bad, I think.

It's not just you, don't worry. If you have one of the higher priced rooms reserved, the AAA discount is larger than the AP discount. It's because the AAA discount is a percentage off the price (in your case, 15%), but the AP discount is a flat dollar amount off. On the higher priced rooms the AAA discount is greater. DH called to see which way we would be better off for our room at the GF sugar loaf concierge, and the AAA discount was better for us than the AP rate.

::yes:: Elizabeth your right (as usual ) :) I did call back. This is what I was told.

Rack Rate for ALK CL - 435.00 (value season)
AAA rate - 369.00
AP Rate - 364.00

Total savings from rack rate for one week - $ 497.00
I am very happy with that and DH will be also.

Now, for the Poly part of our stay they did not have any rooms available at all at the AP rate. I understand there is a VISA rate coming out soon. Maybe I can do something with that at the Poly. :yay:

Yipee!!!!!! I saved $90 on my 2 nights at the Poly!!!!!

Unfortunately, I don't think the DVCr I rented from will match it on my Beach Club part of the trip. ;)

The Visa Disney Rewards rate is already out, code ZBD. I don't think there will be a general visa rate, it'll likely be a General Public rate and not limited to Visa cardholders.

Just booked GV room at the GF for 8 nights at 2592.00!! That just saved me 640$ off rack rates.

Just fyi I had her price the Lagoon View for the same stay it came out to 3141. only a 300$ discount. How odd.

:)

I just saved about $180 over my AAA discount at the Poly for 4 nights Nov. 15-19. Very happy about that. At first the CM said that my total would now be $974. I about fell out. But then he said "Oh, that was the total for your airfare". My total at the Poly is now $1301 and it was $1481 for 4 nights. Still, saving any money is good, but $974 would have been wonderful :cloud9: This discount will help pay for mine at DD's food anyway.

I was surpised to find the Disney Visa Rewards rate was quite a bit better than the AP rate for me. For seven nights from 10/17-10/24 at Pop, it was $526, including 2 one day MYW base tickets with the Visa rate. Those same seven nights, without the MYW ticket was $622 with the AP rate. I'm staying with the Visa rate.

Just got 3 nights at the Poly, GV, December 16-18, for $244.00 per night before tax!! :cool1:

Wow! This seems unbelievable! I guess I'll have to check out the Disney Visa rate! If I can get the same # of nights, plus tickets, for less $$, that seems like a no-brainer.

we just got POR from 11/15 to 11/21 for $776 with tax. rooms at pop were available for this time frame as well. was only on hold on the passholders line for about 3 minutes. :woohoo:

Just got 6 nights at WL - Courtyard view for $1553! $450 savings over rack and $300 ish over my AAA rate. Was hoping for GF garden view, but just lagoon and up - right now ;)

Just shaved 40.00 off a night for Nov 9-12 at Saratoga.

229.00 vs AAA of 269.00.

Checking for December availablity now.

We were already booked at Pop Dec. 2-6 with a AAA rate. The deluxe prices are still too high for me since this is supposed to be a "budget" trip, and Pop doesn't have anything at the AP rate. BUT the AP rate is only $4 per night lower. She offered to check All Stars, but there is NO WAY I am going to go stay with the Pop Warner hoodlums. I'll just keep the Pop ressie at the AAA rate. :)
