AP check in question

I have now decided to forgo the FTP for an AP rate so we can return next summer...anyway...due to some budget issues we were planning to get the AP passes at the park...I understand there is no advance purchase discount & at that time we will be w/ the in-laws and they said they would buy DDs if we wait...so will they allow us to check in with out the pass? If a problem..could it be shown later that day? Any experience with this? Thanks!

I've never been asked for my AP at check-in, but I've always had it ready, just in case.

If I were you, I would buy the AP voucher from the Disney Store right before you leave, and show them that when you check-in. Then, when you get to the parks, you can activate your vouchers, and your in-laws can buy your DD's AP.

You can buy your AP at the Orlando airport. Might be the easiest solution.

I've never been asked. Last time I didn't already have an AP I was staying at BC. I figured if they asked and wouldn't let me show the pass later I'd just walk over to EPCOT, get an AP then return and checkin. If I didn't have that option (staying at a different resort) I would have purchased my ticket in the airport.

We purchased our APs at the Disney Earport Store at MCO on Friday after our arrival. It was very quick and easy to do. Didn't take more than 10 minutes, I would say, and then we were on our way with activated passes in hand.

I think the OP wants to get the passes at the park so that her in-laws can buy her DD's, but she is concerned about whether or not she can check in without an AP.

Maybe she could buy one at the airport for check-in, and the other ones at the park.
