ap = cancel or not

I have a reservation w/aaa code for May06. If an ap rate comes out for that time period, do I just call and ask If I can apply to my current reservation or do I have to make an new reservation and cancel the 1st one? Will the computer know that I already have a reservation??

1st timer - I am a little confused on this one.

You should be able to apply it if you do not wait to long. They only alot a # of rooms for the AP rate.
