AP Benefits???

I am thinking about upgrading our unused 4 day PH passes to AP. I live only 2 1/2 hrs. away but before I did this I was trying to get some info on the Benefits - I know being a Fl.resident the price is better.

What kind of deals can I get at the on-site resorts???
Discount on meals/gifts etc....????

The discounts, particularly for value season, can be quite good... when you can get them. With Disney actually starting to discount their packages and promote them a lot more, there appears to be fewer AP discounted rooms to be had. When the discounts were released for the last three months of this year, the pickings were pretty slim and most of the rooms seemed to be snaped up in a matter of hours. Historically, the discounts for Jan/Feb have usually been released in late October... but they still aren't out. CRO rumors indicate that they'll be out in early December... and some people have been told, due to the success of the Disney VISA package promotion, not to get their hopes up about AP availability.

APs are a great deal when it comes to saving money at the gate... but that's what your purchase decision should be passed on.

I live about 2 hours away and initially bought the play 4 days pass. We ended up upgrading to a seasonal pass for only about 80.00 more. We used them for 5 trips totaling about 17 days throughout the year - we definately got our moneys worth just on park entry. We mostly used the Florida residents discount on hotel reservations which is usually as good if not better than AP discounts. I don't know how much you paid for a four day pass but if you plan on going any other time during the year it would probably be worth it to upgrade to a seasonal AP or even a regular AP.
