AP and TIW questions

Hi, All! DH and I just joined DVC an we are very excited. We think that APs will be the best way for us to go, since we will now be visiting more frequently (and often twice per year).

What is the least expensive way to buy the APs? DVC gives us $100 off. Are any other discounts as good as that? I think AAA discounts APs....does Undercover Tourist or any other site?

We also think TIW will be good for us. I know you have to have an AP to purchase TIW. If we purchase our APs at Guest Services outside a park, can we then purchase TIW as part of the same transaction?

Hi! Can't answer re TIW but I can say that I've found that the DVC discount for the AP is usually the cheapest way to go. Plus, once you repeatedly get the AP, the price for renewal is cheaper than the original price. You also get on the mailing list and this year DVC offered 15% off the already DVC discounted renewal price!!! So go for it!

Welcome Home! We own DVC as well and we bought out AP's with the DVC discount. As the poster above me said if you renew when you get your renewal letter the price is even cheaper then when you initially by. As for the TIW card which we have as well you can purchase one at a guest services in any of the parks. I don't know about outside the parks lik DTD tho. TIW card is totally worth it if you eat at the TS restaurants.
