AP and FP+

Hi there- we are new DVC owners and I will be making my first AP purchase in the next few days. Our holiday begins in mid March, meaning my FP plus selections will be available in about 2 weeks. If I buy an AP, does this delay in any way my ability to make my FP selections in the near future? As an ex. last year we purchased a 9 day park hopper online and as soon as I called to link it to my reservation it was linked and ready for FP plus selections. I am assuming that an online (via DVC member site) AP purchase will allow me the same ability to instantly link it to my reservation, and so be able to make FP selections without delay- but I thought I'd check with disboarders first to see if this is the case

When you pre-purchase an AP, you can either have exchange certificates (aka vouchers) mailed (for a fee) or select will call pickup. With either of these options, you can link the exchange certificates or will call confirmation number to MDE which will allow you to make advance FP+ selections.

Thanks Michael- so does this mean that when I purchase online I can immediately apply the confirmation number (or call it in ) and have member services instantly link it to my upcoming reservation ? Many thanks- Martin

If you are purchasing the APs online it will automatically link to your MDE account. As you go through the purchase process it will asked you who to assign the AP too. Once this is done you will have access to FP+ if you are within your 60 day window. Just did this a little over a month ago.

If you order the tickets by phone or are doing a renewal(which has to be done by phone) then you will receive a will call number that you can link to MDE.

I bought mine online a couple of months ago, and it was automatically linked into my MDE account.
