AP and DDP-Now Available

Just read on another board that you can now get the DDP if you have an AP. Don't know any details--just passing on the info!

You can purchase the Disney Dining Experience if you are an Annual Passholder. If you are a DVC member, you can purchase a Disney Dining Package prior to your check-in date when reservations are made through DVC.

You can now get the DDP with just your room only AP rate. They just made the change. I am not talking about the DDE.

YEAH!!!! Now my family can have the best of both worlds!!! We always wanted to get the DDP, but since we have AP, we were only able to get the DDE. We are so excited that we can get the DDP!!!

This is new and interesting to hear. I'm an AP holder (10+ years) and a DVC member. I stopped buying the DDP because of the 2008 changes, so wonder if there was more folks than just us who refuse to purchase Disney's pre-paid meal plan. I know they offer it to the CMs sometimes with their room only discount.

According to postings on the other site, the only person that has called Disney was told that they could not confirm or deny this to be true but to call back after Thursday. I hope this is helpful. Now more waiting.....

This will be a good deal. I see lots of folks wanting to buy APs. I've been an AP holder since 1995, so have been there through thick and thin (seldom use it for the room ressies). Why would anyone want to pay rack rate and get the DDP when you can become an AP holder and get a room discount and buy the DDP. Can't wait to see more info.

This sounds like a good move. How many of us that have AP's wouldn't take the DDP just because you were forced to buy a day's ticket???

Got my discount (AP) today, added Delux DP. Yay!!!! I already had ressies at POR for April and I called to inquire about the deal. Saved $644.00!!! What an awesome deal, I can't wait for june AP rates so I can add DP to those ressies. I will also make ressies for Dec. The only one I can't change is our ressie for Bounceback and free dining - but that is already an over the top deal.

I booked this but not sure if we will take the trip. If you have an AP you can get the DDP for the amount of days you are there with a room only ressie. It is good from like May till December from what the CM told me. I booked it also thinking that when the DDP is free in Sept-hopefully(he also hinted about that happening) that it could be combined. That is amazing to me- we could literally go for 5 nights for $1100 for everything. You do not get a room discount though. The total for the trip I booked is for 5 nights at ASmovies in September for 2 adults a 10 year old and an 8 year old-no other passes though=$1087.70. He mumbled the code to me which I think was ADS. Passes for my family(except me b/c I have the AP).
He was the MOST helpful CM I have dealt with. I let him know this.
