AP and DDE

I have a question regarding the DDE card and the Annual Pass.

I just purchased an AP (should get the voucher in 2-3 weeks) I want to purchase the DDE card also.

When using the DDE card, do you have to show your AP also? I'm only asking because I found an old PHP pass that still has 2 days left on it. If I want to use them up before activating my AP, will I still be able to use the DDE card?
