I am a DVC member who just renewed 3 adult platinum AP today October 1st. I just saw on the official Disney Parks Blog right now that there is a promotion of 13 months for the price of 12 months for AP starting on October 2nd. I am coming down in Dec. for Christmas and that will be the first time I will be activating my AP at the parks. Is the 13 month promotion tacked onto the Annual Passes at the point of ticket activation?

I renewed mine 2 days ago and my MDE account shows a 12 month expiration. Of course, I haven't activated it yet so who knows.

Have you heard if they are going to increase prices for the APs? Also, is the 13 month promotion good for renewals? My passes renew this month (plus I am adding one) so I hope this is good for renewals!

I called DVC Member services today-I explained that I purchased new annual passes two months ago and I am activating them in October & asked if there is any way I could get the 13 months-they said so sorry but no-can-do. I'm hoping to talk to someone else and hear a different tune.

How would this work for Premier Passports? Would the Disneyland admission be good for 13 months as well?

I bought my last one right before the last price increase, when I broke a sweat over the whopping price of $1,099 (which now seems like a great deal compared to the current price of $1,439 -- that's 31% higher).

Not that it guarantees I'll bite on that price, but living in Los Angeles, I'd like to know my options in case I get lucky and am assigned to a project in Orlando again next year.

As far as I've been trained, yes.

Hmm, well, though I'm not a DVC member at all, I did purchase my AP two weeks ago, and will be activating in about 6 weeks, on Nov 12th. So, I'm interested to hear how this actually turns out! Interesting as we have a CM who has some training on this, and then a phone CM who may or may not have had any training yet, and we are often cautioned not to believe the phone CM's. Hmm. Not sure I can use the extra month for sure, but I want it if I'm able to get it! Rather irritating there is no heads up ahead of time.

Also, will we be able to get the 20% discount on merchandise or would we possibly be squeezed out of that too? That'd be a lot of checking for them every time you shop and they have to check whether you have the discount or have a card purchased before Oct 2nd. That would really stink, big time!

To add to the list of questions, I'd like to know if you buy the AP in the next few weeks, can you activate in May and get the 13 months?

I have been considering dropping down to Silver with the potential of upgrading to Gold in the summer if necessary. Does anyone know if upgrading a pass later will risk losing the 13th month because it would be a "new" pass outside of the promotion time frame?

Honestly, don't take my information as any more "true" than a phone CM at this point, since my training was a 15 minute session of someone (who just got trained themselves the day before) reading off a paper. I'll know more after work today when we actually do stuff with this.

I just called guest services and they told me if you purchase the AP before today and activate them between now and Jan 3 you will get the 13 months.

So in my situation i am traveling down in April 2017 for Easter week - I am looking to purchase one of the no blackout date passes. Can I buy now and wait to activate once i am there in April 2017? It seems this would be the case as i don't see restrictions as to when the pass has to be activated.

Well, it looks like the 13-month deal applies to renewals. I just checked the website and if I wanted to renew my AP, the cost would be the same but it states that the expiration date would be 13 months later. Sadly, I renewed last month while I was in Disney and if I had waited until today, I would have gotten the extra month. :headache: I guess that I can't complain because I was able to use a MYW ticket toward the renewal and I would not have been able to do that if I renewed thru DVC Member Services.

Oddly, my DVC Gold Pass shows up in MDE under my name, but it can also be "reassigned" just as if it were a regular ticket. The expiration date is correct but I don't understand how an AP renewal could be reassigned to another person. Has anyone else who has done a renewal seen this in their MDE?

This is great news-hopefully the person you talked to has the correct information and my DVC Member Services rep was wrong.

I'm also wondering this. I was going to purchase now and activate April 30, will we miss out on the 13 month deal?
