How far away are little mermaid rooms from food court and bus stop?

They are farther than any other part ( Lion King & Cars ) of AofA. You walk all the way through the Lion King section before you reach Little Mermaid. The showers are spectacular in Little Mermaid. Room ver similar to Pops.

We stayed in a LM room in 2015. It was ok for the first 3 days or so, but we soon found it to be unreasonably far to food and the feature pool after walking miles in the parks. We ended up being pretty miserable and now are much more careful when choosing resorts and rooms.

I read a lot of complaints about the distance from the bus stops and food court to the LM rooms. We didn't think it was a bad walk at all. Unless you have mobility issues, I wouldn't hesitate to stay in a LM room. If you have small kids, do bring a stroller. Carrying a child would make for a very long walk. My son was 11 months old at the time I stayed and carrying him that far would have been too much.

It definitely is far after a long day at the parks. I think it also affects the value of your refillable mug as it's definitely far to just go grab coffee in the morning. We took our cups with us to the parks and would refill on way to the parks and back to rooms, but that also became too much to drag around 4 cups all day.

I have no mobility issues and don't have small kids. But we won't stay there again. The rooms and the resort are stunning. But we do long park days and rely on resort buses. That walk after a long day on your feet is brutal.

And it changes the way we enjoy the resort. We don't run down and get snacks. We don't run back and refill our mugs.

For me, it's just too far.

FAR.
I stayed in the LM rooms closest to the back of the resort and I could literally walk around the lake and through the 50's section of POP to get t the buses faster than I could walk to the main building of AOA.
I did enjoy the LM section theme but that walk ugh.

I feel the same way! I'm a fit adult with no kids and it was just TOO far. By the end of our trip, we were actually driving to the bus stop/main building.

We stayed in a LM room in the closest building which is still a ten minute walk to the lobby/food court/bus stop. It was a short adult trip so doable and the walk is pretty, I'm reasonably sure I wouldn't feel the same way hauling strollers, little kids, etc. We made sure that when we left the room for the morning, we were packed and ready to go to the parks. One thing you don't want to do is to go back and forth to the room!

I think a big factor for us is that it was a 10 day trip. By the end of that trip, I knew there was no way I was doing that again.

Plus I wake really early in the morning and like to explore the resort while the rest of my group sleeps. My feet were tired each day before we even left for the parks!

We didn't have a car, but could probably would have done the same if we did.

Thank you for all the input!

I guess i already knew it's a long walk, and I was interested to see how that might impact our trip. I got my answers here.

I do like the idea that you can walk to POP through 50s section to get to a bus stop, faster than to walk to AoA bus stop.

We just recently booked our trip, and have no little ones this time, so maybe that will help a bit.

Seriously? Walking to Pop is quicker than walking to the AoA bus stop? Hardly. It never took longer than 8 mins to get to the food court. I've been much further away from main areas at POR, SSR, BWVs, WL, AKL.
It can be a hot walk during the summer though. There just isn't a lot of shade.
I guess I'm in the minority. I just don't find it an overly long walk...but, I don't have little ones!!

Yes seriously.
When you are as close to the pathway that leads around the lake as I was it is LITERALLY a shorter walk to POP's buses than AOA's buses.
I was not being sarcastic or exaggerating in any way.
BTW I was traveling with all adults.

But the LM rooms aren't all that close to the bridge. The Nemo suites back up to the bridge. Once you cross the bridge, it's a fair distance to the buses.
I've stayed in a LM room, facing the lake. And I've walked around that area. I've stayed at Pop, in a building quite close to the bridge. Many others complained about the walk to the food court and buses from the back of 60's section.
I just don't want anyone booking a LM room, thinking its a 5 min walk over to the buses at Pop.

As I said I walked AROUND the lake not over the bridge.
I stayed in building 8 right next to the pathway that goes around the lake over to POP 50's section.
I walked through the bowling pin pool area.

Far. EXTREMELY FAR. Like Galaxy Far, far away kind of far. I thought other posters were exaggerating the walk to the Little Mermaid Rooms from the bus stops, but nooooooo. You know that excruciating walk leaving the park to the bus terminal ( Which is usually the furthest bus stop) ? Well, it's 10 times worse dragging your poor abused feet off the bus just to schlep it another 10-15 minutes back to your room. It was torture. AoA was a one and done for me
