AoA: Why are 2 LM rooms so much cheaper than booking a suite?

Looking at going in March over spring break, family of 6. It is over $500 cheaper to book 2 LM rooms non-discounted than to book a suite using a pin code with 15% off. Why? I have older kids so sleeping on a pull out sofa doesn't appeal to them and we won't be eating in the room so no need for a kitchen area.

What am I missing??

You won't get the kitchenette with 2 standard rooms. And you won't get a queen bed for the adults either. ;)You also won't be guaranteed that your 2 rooms will be next to, or even near, each other.

Must have put something in wrong the first time, double checked and it comes out at exactly the same price.

Which would you do, 2 LM rooms or a suite and why?

Thanks!!

Hi
I've stayed in two connecting rooms at Pop, and we each liked having our own bed to sleep in and not having to sleep in a pull out chair or sofa. I
don't know how comfortable the chair and sofa would be. We're staying at AOA for a few nights in August and asking for connecting rooms. I know it's not a guarantee, but we'll try. Have a great time!!

I haven't stayed at AoA, but from what I read, it sounds as if you can fit 6 people in, as long as some of them are small children. The adults would have a queen bed in the bedroom, but the other beds sound on the small side. The work table bed is listed as 3 x 4, and the Inovabed as 4.5 X 6. If you have older kids, one of them might be stuck sleeping on an air mattress on the floor.

we prefer 2 rooms vs suites or rooms that sleep 5 as well. Something about 4 real beds and 2 bathrooms.

The benefit I guess of a suite is that you are guaranteed to be together. Since Disney can't guarantee connecting rooms some people don't like to take that chance.

There are a few benefits to the suites. 1st, the queen size rather than double bed is nice! 2nd, the master bathroom is bigger than the regular bathroom at the LM rooms. 3rd, there is more overall room in the suite than 2 connecting rooms. 4th, you get a table where 4 people can sit down together and eat. 5th, the suites are mostly closer to the food court and drink stations. 6th, if you have 2 rooms, with 2 beds in each room you don't have a private area for you an DH to unwind after the kids are asleep.

My family thought the sofa and table beds were actually quite comfy, and the table was more spacious than expected.

I have never stayed in a suite but from what I read, 2 rooms would work better for my family.

My boys are presently 12 and 15, the 15 year old is over 6 feet tall and I'm sure the 12 (almost 13) year old will follow in his footsteps for height. I can't see my oldest being comfortable in a pullout of any sort. With two rooms, everyone gets their own bed (except my partner and i). The boys don't like sharing a bed. DD would want to be in the same room as my partner and I anyway and not with her brothers so in the suite this would be an issue as she would have to be out with them. With two rooms, she would be in the same room as my partner and I.

Also, from what I read, one of the pullouts in the LM suites is actually your table so if someone is sleeping in it your table is out of commission. What's the point of having a kitchenette if you lose your table every time someone wants to use their bed? Eating in the room isn't a big deal anyway, we wont be eating there much. If we do have something, the kids are happy parked on a bed watching tv. It is vacation after all isn't it? :thumbsup2 At home the tv isn't even allowed on at meal time.

Either way you get two bathrooms, so that is not an issue even if one is bigger in the suite.

I know you are not guaranteed connecting rooms but it is a risk I am wiling to take. I just don't think we would be comfortable in the suite.

So, op, there's my opinion and the why of it.
