AOA - theme request?

I looked for a thread that addressed this issue and couldn't find one do I apologize in advance if I've missed it!

My mother and I had a chance to tour the suites at aoa during our last visit and we immediately decided a stay at that resort was a must for our family! We just loved the decor that obviously oozes with Disney! Lol we were a little dissappointed to here you can't select a certain theme there? Only a room type..... Has anyone else heard this and are there ways around it?

I don't think that's true. That person may have been referring to a certain discount offer only being applied to one specific suite area? When booking online, you will specifically pick which part of the resort you want to stay in- the suites of Cars, Nemo, Lion King or the standard rooms of Little Mermaid. Go to their website and pretend to book a package. You'll see what I'm talking about.

Just remember you can request but that doesn't mean it will be honored. Alot of it depends on availability. Good luck!

Op I am not sure what you mean when you say you can't book a certain area ? We are booked in LK section and we could of picked Cars or Nemo you can also pick a non specific room type and they will give you any of the above. Now if you mean lake view or court yard then you are correct you can only request view and request are just that a request.

I believe it's guaranteed. When you go to the Disney website, you can choose what section you want and click on it. I am quite sure once one of the section is filled, that section will not be an option. So if LM is full, they will take it out of the inventory so no one can book it.

That's what the concierge said :/ he said if youre booked into a family suite while your guaranteed a room type the theme is more of a request that will depend in availability rather than a guarantee. I hope this isn't true! It doesn't sound like it is.
