AoA standard room or POR Royal Room

I am torn with this exact same situation. We are currently booked (room only till wed) March in a little mermaid room, but I have since found the RR at POR. I have a 5 Year old DD and DH and I are trying to decide which would be best. I think we are going to look at prices on Wed and see what we can pull off...I am trying to convince him to maybe do a split stay so we do not have to make any real decision!

Ohh a split stay could be cool. We really wanted AKL savannah but my kids weren't impressed Hahahaha so I'm all for saving the cash! Lol

AOA standard rooms are going to be Little Mermaid only... so probably POR would be more for the boys. now AoA has suites the cars and Lion King and Nemo and the suites would probably be in same price as the Royal rooms art POR. as a moderate POR is our favorite but money wise POP is where it;s at for us. we might try Little Mermaid but not this year..service been to good at POP will have to go ocver and check AoA out.

Thanks! Little mermaid theme isn't an issue. My boys love the movie and thought the room was fine. We aren't worried at all when it comes the the gender issues with the rooms. It's more the resort itself and rooms in general.

Ohh wow very excited now to really check it out!!! Going in December I hope the weather is warm enough to enjoy the pool!! Next month no, just a regular room. It's my husband and I and my sister and her fiancé going. They are saving for the wedding so went a little cheaper for them :) it will still be nice though im sure :) and I'd like to save the special rooms for when the kids are with us :)

Makes perfect sense to save the special rooms for the kiddos. You'll have to report back on how you like POR! It looks like a lovely resort to walk around. It'll be our first time staying there in Sept. (My husband was actually the one to suggest we stay in the Royal Guest Room -- although I think he's using our 5 year old as his excuse. :lmao: ) Doing two nights there before heading over to the Beach Club for our Stormalong Bay, Boardwalk stroll, Beaches & Cream, Swalphin Breakfast fix. :goodvibes

theEncode: If you get a room discount for POR, it could make quite a nice deal for the Royal Rooms. We're kinda stuck for January with doing a Value so it was a toss-up for us between ASMo and AoA. I'm highly doubtful that they'll be offering any discounts on AoA for a while. Edit: A split-stay sounds pretty nice -- you'll get both "out of your system" that way. ;D
