I have to stay that after listening to the aoa review i would actually like to go over there to check it out and eat in the food court.
We are dvc, so I wouldn't normally think about stopping by a value resort just for fun, but I think we will have to try this next time!

The AoA definitely doesn't seem like a value they gave it the feel of a moderate. The theme is amazing and food is great we usually stay at a value or moderate but AoA is something to experience.

disney lover at heart

Yes, this review got me really excited for our upcoming stay and made me really happy that we booked this resort!! I don't think I have ever been excited about a food court before :cool1:

We are DVC members too and we wouldn't stay at AoA normally. We have been over there to check it out though (in fact we were there when the crew was doing their research) and agree that they did a great job with the theming.

I would never stay there because the prices are nuts but we did go there to walk around and have lunch when we were there in August. The food court is every bit as good as the team said. I had the tandori chicken with acorn squash and naan bread and it was delicious, certainly not something I would ever expect to find in a hotel food court. And the theming of the whole property is awesome. The Cars section is incredible. I haven't been to Cars Land in DCA but this has got to be the next best thing. You totally feel like you've stepped right into the movie. I would definitely recommend everyone take a couple of hours to visit AoA.

My last trip I stayed at Pop. My first and last meals, and the best meal for the money was at Landscape of Flavors.
Tandoori chicken, roasted cauliflower, palak paner, wild ice, naan bread. I watched the chef cooking the spinach and the naan bread while I waited. So fresh, so good!
The cheesy pesto bread was a great snack when I took the AoA bus back at night.

You could always do a Little mermaid room :) That is what we are doing. The suites are out of our price range (plus we don't need a suite it is only 3 of us). Yum, all this food court stuff sounds delicious!

We much prefer to rent a spacious 3-bedroom house with a private pool, full kitchen, washer/dryer, big screen TV, etc. for $100/night 5-10 minutes away.

I always look at those longingly, but with a group of 3 it is just too expensive once we add in a car, gas and parking. If we ever go with a large group we will do that for sure!

We drive down so we already have our car. And parking really isn't a factor since we're saving so much on the house. Plus you only pay parking on park days. If we go for 2 weeks and do 5 park days, it really isn't that much. Beats paying the higher price for an onsite room for the whole time.

I'm sort of confused on why AoA is classified as a Value resort? 3 out of the 4 sections are priced close to a Deluxe resort. And it should have the best food court on property for the prices they are charging.

The LM prices out as a Value standard room. But while we think of a suite as one room, Disney considers it 2 rooms so it's priced out equal to 2 standard rooms, so you end up paying close to a deluxe. I hope that makes sense! I recently priced out a Pop preferred and the price was $20 less than POR!! The pricing is crazy!

I just switched my family to AoA from ASMusic as a direct result of the recent podcasts. Soooo glad I subscribed and caught those reviews!

We walked around AoA when we visited last June. It wasn't completed yet, but we did eat at the food court and spent some time walking around the Cars section. It was amazing. We are hoping to stay there on our next visit which unfortunately won't be until next year.

Can you guys tell me where I can find the review you are all talking about? I would appreciate it.
