AoA or Pop?

Planning trip in Jan '18 (not during marathon). 3 families (6 adults, 2 six yr olds and a 4yr old) 3 rooms. I've been leaning toward Little Mermaid rooms at AoA, but have been reading about the refurbished rooms at Pop. We're looking at room only.

This is a first trip for most of the group. Which would you choose?

I'd request a refurbished room at Pop.

The rooms are pretty much the same. You're just looking at a difference of theming. Really, what is more pleasant for the group: Under the Sea themed or a 50's-80's motif?

That was true prior to the room refurb at Pop. Now Pop rooms have 2 queens, albeit one is a Murphy Bed, and the LM rooms have 2 doubles.
