We have a trip planned in December and we are staying in a Nemo suite. I do have Touring Plans, but it hasn’t really shown me what room to request, if any. Does anyone have an idea as to what room would be considered the best? Or did you stay in a room that you really liked? What exactly did you like about it? The view doesn’t matter too much with this trip. I think I’d prefer a bit quiet if anything and that’s only because of my 2 year old.
I’ve also been trying to use TP for a trip to BWV in February, but I can’t figure it out. I see the views and such, but I think I’d prefer a first hand account. We are staying in a studio if that helps. I’d definitely prefer a better view for this one and ideally a balcony. I’ve read they are fairly common to get at BWV. Then again, I could be totally wrong and just making things up. I’d like to get peoples opinions please🙂

BWV depends oncatwgory booked. There are 3 view categories.

of course. I knew that. I booked standard view. I know it’s not boardwalk view or anything like that, so it probably won’t be that great, but it happened so fast. The recent discounts came out and 5 minutes later, I had a room booked. Lol wasn’t exactly planning on another trip so soon

Did you book it on cash? Standard View, when booked on cash, is actually what is labelled Pool/Garden on Touring Plans.

I did! I haven’t ventured into renting points yet. I guess the view doesn’t matter much here either, of course a nice view would be ideal, but I was hoping for a balcony at least. I guess beggars can’t be choosers. I’m thrilled I even got a room there. They sold out so fast! I wasn’t able to use the AP discount, but luckily I could use the FL resident one.

Just call CRO and add requests to your reservations.

AoA: I would request top floor, quiet room.

BWV: I would request a balcony, close to the lobby, as nice a view as possible.

Good luck!

For the Nemo Suite, I would highly recommend requesting a room on the top floor (4th floor), end of hallway, facing Hourglass Lake. The more you can eliminate noise from above, noise from the pool and from foot traffic in the hallway, the better. You could certainly pick one of these rooms in TP and send the fax request through them. You can also call WDW CRO and place the same requests on your reservation (top floor, facing Hourglass Lake, end of hallway or away from elevator).

For BWV, I would request balcony, nice view, top floor. We really like the villas facing the Swan at BWV. Super quiet and the stairs take you right down to the DHS path.

At BWV, we paid cash for a standard view studio. I requested high floor, near elevator. We ended up on the 5th floor, 5 doors from the elevator with a view of illuminations fireworks. It was one of the best rooms we've ever had.

I found the room ready text - we were in room 5057.

thank you! I’m not sure why I never thought about calling

Yes! I think I will do that for sure for the Nemo suite. I went back on TP and got a slightly better idea. Thank you!

Omg! That sounds like perfection! I think I want that exact room now. Quiet would be nice, but we’re only there for 2 days and it’s for my birthday. I deserve fireworks 🙂
Thank you!!!! I mean it, I’ll be requesting that room

All BWV studios have a balcony, except the ones on the ground floor which can have either a balcony or patio.

If you request to be on the Village Green, you will have a partial boardwalk view. An upper floor should have a view of the higher fireworks from Epcot. Do not request a room number because if it was already occupied , the room assigner has no idea why you chose that room.

well that’s good to know then. I think I’d rather be on the top floor anyway. I do think a fireworks view sounds amazing! But, you’re right. That makes sense.

Yes, hope I didn't cause confusion with the specific room. Thought it might be helpful if you were looking at touring plans. High floor and near elevator are all I requested, I'd definitely keep it to that.

Have a wonderful trip and I hope you get a great view!

Just know, when you make the request through TP, you can click on the room you would like and then put notes in the request. So, if you click on room 5057 as the room requested in your fax, you can place notes like "room with fireworks view, balcony", then the room assigner will know why you chose that room and, if it isn't available, will try to get you something similar if available.

No no! Not at all. I appreciate your response greatly. I just have no idea how all this works yet. I read a lot about WDW every single day, but don’t yet know the smaller details. Also, I haven’t been there since 1990....so it’s been a minute 🙂

thank you so much!!

Oooohhhh! Ok! I had no idea! Thank you for telling me! I appreciate you! I know nothing is guarantee, but if I can increase my chances, then I’ll definitely do that.

We had a great location when we stayed in a Nemo suite a few years ago. We were in room 5518 (I had requested room 5520 through TP but indicated that any room facing the lake on that hall would be great). Our room was on the first floor in the wing of the building that extends out towards the LK suites. It was a very quiet location as it's not a "thru-way". The only people who walk down that hallway are those who have rooms down there. We were far enough away from the elevators that we didn't hear any noise from those. That room was very close to all of the things that were important to us on that trip -- the food court was a quick 1 minute walk, the pool was very close by, and we were also pretty close to the bus stops (and now the Skyliner as well). We had no noise from the room above us (nor did we when we were in a first floor LK suite last summer. Our noisiest location was actually a 4th floor LK suite on a trip several years ago -- we were right by the door to the stairwell and heard that door slam every time someone went through it and I believe there was some type of "hang out" suite for cast members right next to ours. There were CMs coming and going from the room all day and we could hear them laughing and generally having a good time when we were in the master bedroom. Also heard that room door slamming frequently. Fortunately, they seemed to stop using that room by about 5:00 every day so the noise really wasn't a big deal for us.) I would absolutely request that location if we stayed in a Nemo suite again.

Just be aware that many times DVC resorts just toss out any faxed requests and go with what is on the reservation. DVC has asked members not to bother faxing in any requests.

that’s great information! Thank you! Facing the lake and not being a thru way makes sense. The food court being only a minute away is key. I’m pretty sure I’m going to live on coffee for this trip. The only reason we picked a Nemo suite is because they seemed the closest to everything. I’ll definitely be putting this info into TP. Thanks again!
