Hi -

it will be 6 adults (4 of which who are BIG eaters) in our room.

PG we have the free dining plan but I would still like to stock our little fridge with some breakfast items.

I'm thinking OJ, Milk, some bottled sweet tea, and box or so of frozen breakfast food.

Where are folks ordering from nowadays? Way back when i used Garden Grocer but has anyone had better luck (deals) from somewhere else?

TIA - Vicki

We stayed this Jan. There was a small freezer. Very small as in one ice cube tray

We had enough room. We kept plenty of beer water and soda for 4 in there

oh heck...hadn't thought of that...
Check the packaging of the frozen items you are thinking of buying. Some of them have instructions for cooking thawed as well as frozen. The freezers were always too small to “stock up” but you might be able to keep in the fridge overnight for the next morning.

Depending on what you were thinking, you could also buy things like refrigerated pre-cooked sausage or bacon, and cheese, and breakfast breads to make sandwiches that wouldn’t need to be frozen.

Hard boiled eggs, bagels and cream cheese and greek yogurt are my go-to items.

As other's have said, don't count on being able to store frozen items.

Also, gallon containers of OJ, milk, etc. might now fit very well in the mini fridges. Get half gallons for better storage. I get juice packs as well, as they don't all need to be cooled at once (so I stagger what's in our fridge at any given time).

We have had great luck packing the little fridges with lunchmeat and cheese for quick sandwiches, yogurt, some fruit. Our breakfasts usually consist of cereal and milk, yogurt and fruit, or breakfast bars or muffins (no need to keep cool) with a glass of milk or juice. Sandwich makings are for when we're back in the room for a rest or at night and someone says "I'm hungry". Note that we don't normally eat breakfasts like these or snack on sandwiches at night while at home...but when in WDW, we work with the equipment we have available, which is...a little dorm size fridge.

Regarding who to order from, I've used Garden Grocer often with great success. I also recently used Safeway, and their prices were better than GG's plus they had a free delivery coupon the month I ordered. The main difference other than price with Safeway was that an adult had to be in the room to accept the delivery because we had alcohol...GG allowed me to scan in my driver's license and email as proof of my age, and they were able to leave everything in our order with bell services.

I was thinking to bring my little Hamilton Beach breakfast sandwich maker. Has anyone done this? I will be happy to be able to make & eat breakfast in our room while getting ready to save time & money. Will a gallon of milk fit in the fridge? I know the previous post said to order 1/2 gallon. We would need to put milk, eggs & a couple of other items.
