Just got a quote for a one night stay, next June 8th, before our DCL trip.

It was $448.

It seems awfully high to me. Am I wrong?

Yes, it is high season, no discount, so it's right. Priced lower than a deluxe LOL.

If you don't need the suite since it's only for one night, ask for a Little Mermaid room. That's more in line with the value room pricing.

It is a value, considering the space (2 bathrooms) and the fact that it sleeps 6 people comfortably while still being one resort room.

Nearly $500, IMO, doesn't scream value. Two rooms at Pop are even cheaper.

Definitely doesn't scream it, but if you are a family with several children, it is your best option to make sure you are together. Pop (or really any resort) cannot guarantee connecting rooms. We lucked out and got connecting rooms at POP when we took my mom and grandma to WDW which was great, but if I had four kids, there is no way I would want to spend my vacation with half of my family several doors down. :goodvibes

I agree, I wouldn't want to be separated, but I was really disappointed when I got pricing for it. Hopefully they will come out with a discount. I know a lot of people were shocked with the cost.

We have it booked for 7 nights in Feb 2013 for $2300+ , which is not cheap for the 4 of us. We assume free dining that week and if it isn't , then we will split our stays to save money. Cars have been such a huge part of our life for 5 years now(4 and 7 year old boys) that we want to spend the extra money to do the Cars suite this time and next time, stay at a more value place like we did on out first trip.

We think it will be worth the extra money.

Yeah...that's about right. I am booked for 5 nights in a Cars suite...but mine includes all my stuff - the tickets to the park...my Christmas party tickets, etc. $2200 roughly.

I didn't think it was that bad though. 4 people, 1 week's vacation. Seems reasonable for a suite in a brand new resort. I guess when you break it down nightly it seems outrageous...

with 5 days tickets, it came to about 3,500. We want to do Sea World as the little one hasn't been there yet and we left a day open for whatever and in case our drive delays us and get in later than planned the first day.
