Ok strange question. We are going in July and are simply not use to insane Florida heat so air conditioning is a must. I have read and gathered that the balloon trick doesnt work necessarily at AoA little mermaid- can you ask them right when checking in to send someone to overide the air for you??? also is there any problems with the air conditioning at Contemporary? Thanks for your help, its appreciated!

We stayed at the AoA last year in one of the family suites. I'd imagine that air conditioning is the same in all the units. We had no problem with the room being too hot, and we were there in August. My husband likes it really cold in the room, and he was fine. I actually had to use an extra blanket to avoid freezing. We didn't have to do anything at all to keep the room cold. Are you looking for it to be colder than 68?

not necessarily colder than 68 but a true 68 would be good - the humidity makes it feel hotter

i'm going to just ask for an override at check in. I've read the 68 does NOT really feel like 68 in the rooms......usually I like to set the a/c for around 64-65 in hotels, so I have a feeling I will be sweltering at 68, esp. with the humidity
