Monday 20th December

Again we were woken up by Stitch, which tickled me. We had the Keys to the Kingdom Tour booked for today. Unfortunately, I woke up with my migraine back to full hit and I felt really sick. We went to the food court, or rather hubby made me accompany him so I could get some fresh air on the way, but all the food smells really turned my stomach and I couldn’t eat a thing. I couldn’t even watch hubby eating his cheese Danish pastry! I told him that I didn’t want to do the tour as I really didn’t feel right. He was a little narked at first but he realised that I was ill so he went without me. I spent the day in bed sleeping – I threw up twice not long after he’d left and I felt a little better afterwards, even though I hate being sick. I’m not sure if I picked up a bug or whether it was jet lag affecting me.

Hubby came back straight after the tour ended. He loved it and told me all about it. He said it was definitely worth doing. At lunch, he was talking to the tour guide Daniel and hubby asked if he knew what was happening with the Pop Century Legendary Years section. Apparently they are working on it at the moment and it will open Spring 2006! We did some lights on and lots of heavy vehicles there a few days later so maybe it will get finished. Because I was ill, Daniel gave hubby a pin for me which I thought was really sweet and I appreciated the gesture. The CM who checked Andy in also said as I was ill, they’d refund my money which they didn’t have to do, so again the gesture was much appreciated (and they refunded the money next day, how cool!)

Hubby was shattered so he had some sleep with me. About 5pm, we got up and headed out to Premium Outlets. It was so busy! We had to park on the grass in the end – other 4x4s had done it so we figured we’d do it too. Hubby did very well at Nike – 3 t-shirts for $24, some joggers and another top, all for under $50. I bought him some trainers from the Adidas shop for Christmas. I found a bowling t-shirt for my mum’s fella in Big Dogs, he loves their shirts. The Disney Character Warehouse was very disappointing – I came out with a flashing sorcerer’s hat for my mobile phone antenna (which I've since lost :guilty: and a Jessie and Bullseye Christmas decoration. The Universal shop was a complete waste of time.

After our little shopping spree, we headed to Chilis. There was a 45 minute wait so we went to the bar. We found a spare table so asked if we could have it and we could, as nobody else wanted to sit in the bar – result! We pigged out a little – we ordered boneless shanghai wings, fried mozzarella sticks and the triple play, which was southwestern eggrolls, boneless buffalo wings and chicken crispers. Mmmm! It was all so good, and it was my first meal of the day and went down incredibly well!

After Chilis, it was back to the room for some That 70’s Show on the WB followed by bed at midnight.

As I had such a lazy day and didn't have any photos to post, have some of Pop Century instead :teeth:

I'm so sorry about you missing the tour. One day, you will have an incident free trip I hope. Premium Outlets is our favourite place to shop and we always do well out of Nike too! I agree about the Universal and Disney shops though. I guess this is where they bring any old leftovers, what a shame,
Claire

Oh Anz, poorly again :( What a shame. I hope you are better tomorrow!

Wonderful photos of Pop again :)

Anz, so sorry to hear your tour was ruined. Hope you get to feel better for the rest of your trip.

Am pleased to inform you all that this was my last sick day, thank god :flower: After this I was a-ok. We're going in May 2006 with my mum and her (soon to be) husband so we'll wait and do the Keys to the Kingdom Tour with them again. Andy loved it and for 2 days afterwards, he kept remembering things he'd been told so he kept me very entertained

We loved PO but agree about Disney and Universal shops - nothing we wanted and not really cheap (why would I want a Christmas 2004 T-shirt if I wouldn't buy a Spring Break 2005 one? :rotfl: I don't want people to know how I hang on to my tops!! )

Glad you got better - I blame the planes myself, 3 out of the 4 of us came down with the sicky bug, but quite spread out, me first, then DS(5) two days later, then DH 6 days after that!!
