continued....Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party!
As we were in Liberty Square, we decided to go on Haunted Mansion, I mean how could you not go on this ride during a Halloween Party it just wouldnt be right!
We walked through the gates and one of the CMs came towards me, I smiled and not once did his character slip, he stared at me and I couldnt help but start giggling. I said to Andy that he was scaring me now and his character was too good. The CM followed me and handed me one of those cards which says to hand it to the CM inside the ride for some sort of study. The CM within the ride as youre walking through also never fell out of character, theyre so good. We had a great ride, I think this ride is really well done and we both love it when we pick up the hitchhiker at the end.
As we walked out of Haunted Mansion, there was a Trick or Treat stop so we picked up some sweets.
dontcha just love these cute trick or treat stops
Im not very up on American sweets but we happily took them. I did recognise the sherbet straws though. Unfortunately they broke in my Mickey bag so it was covered in yummy sherbet. We were trying to decide what to do next and I wanted to see Mickeys PhilharMagic and ride Pooh so off to Fantasyland we went. First we came across Peter Pans Flight and had to go on. There was no queue and only 4 people in front of us. Result!
Now it was time for PhilharMagic. Or not quite. Wed just missed one so we headed back outside so Andy could have a cigarette. I remembered there was a smoking area near to Tinkerbells Treasures so I left him there and went into the shop. All the CMs in there had crazy wigs on. I found a lovely pair of Lilo dangle earrings and a set of 3 pairs of earrings - one was Lilo, one Stitch and the 3rd pair was red flowers. Andy came in just as I was paying. Then it was time for PhilharMagic hurrah!!
I love this show so much and always have to watch it a few times. As usual, I welled up a little during the Peter Pan segment. From here it was on to Snow Whites Scary Adventures - again no queue. Its a cute ride but quite scary for some of the little kids I imagine, what with those scary shaped trees!
Anyway, from here we had to ride Winnie the Pooh. This is another favourite of mine, I love bouncing round with Tigger. This was the only queue we experienced and it wasnt that long, maybe about 10 people in front of us if that. I had a little look in the shop. I was really thirsty and wanted to take some tablets for my knee so we stopped at Mrs Potts Cupboard for a diet coke.
taking a well-earned rest!
Andy decided he wanted to go on Space Mountain so it was back to Tomorrowland. Andy went on Space Mountain whilst I went on the TTA. I had a whole car to myself and took some photos.
Once my ride was over, I walked to where Andy and I were supposed to meet and he wasnt there. I noticed Buzz Lightyear was a walk on so I had a go on my own. I managed 69,500. By the time the ride was over, Andy was waiting for me. He picked up some more candy at one of the Trick or Treat stops.
my fave Trick or Treat stop
It was almost time for the fireworks so we went to try and find somewhere to view. We walked into the rose garden in front of the castle and managed to find a nice spot where I was able to sit on the ground and Andy was able to film it.
The fireworks started about 5 minutes late but they were well worth the wait. About halfway through the fireworks we heard a witchs voice and then she took Tinkerbells flight out from the castle and into Tomorrowland, we got such a great view of that. The end of the display was a bit confusing. Nobody was sure whether it had actually finished or not. It was still great though and I couldnt wait for the parade a bit later.
We still had half an hour to the parade but we wanted a good view so we walked to Main Street and found a nice spot on the pavement. Andy went to get us a bottle of drink while I waited. There were CMs walking past on both sides of the street handing out more candy so I had a few more added to my bag. I tried a tootsie roll which was ok and had some more sherbet.
Andy came back with the drink and as we were chatting, another CM came over handing out more candy. He looked in Andys bag and said sir, you dont seem to have enough candy in your bag. Andy pointed to his t-shirt and said read this. The CM read the shirt, nodded his head and piled the candy into Andys bag, it was so funny but I think you had to be there. Andy passed me a sweet called a Lemon Head and my god, it nearly blew my head off it was soooo sour. He had a good laugh at my expense as the same thing had happened when hed had one but hed kept quiet.
The parade started with the Headless Horseman riding by, that was so cool.
5 minutes later, the parade reached us and Andy filmed it while I took some photos.
