Anywhere there this past week?

I was there Tue, Wed, and Fri. Crowds were pretty high. Morning of Tuesday-not too bad, got really busy around 5pm. Wednesday morning, was busy. Friday morning was EMPTY until about 11. Weather was amazing!

I haven't been in the parks this past week, but I will say the weather has been fantastic. Mid to upper 80's the past few days and plenty of sunshine.

Friday evening was somewhat crowded, but not awful by any means; kind of like an average summer level, I thought. Saturday morning was good (almost all mornings are good though). Saturday afternoon/evening and so far Sunday have been moderately crowded. We went to the Gospel Brunch at House of Blues so I don't know how the crowds were this morning.

Weather is actually a little warmer than I prefer (and I'm from Arizona!) but not bad by any means. Nights are cool or cold (I was too hot with a heavy jacket and am fine with a light jacket and (briefly) a pair of knit gloves; my mom has been cold with a jacket, but she's needed an ECV so hasn't been walking/getting the blood flowing as much).

And we were hoping to leave the Arizona weather behind when we make it up there. darn.

However, on a completely unrelated note (forgive me :rotfl:) good luck with your new job as a CM that must be super exciting!

Thanks!

So many folks from AZ in this thread, I guess I fall into that category slightly since I've only been out here a few day.

Congrats on becoming a CM, ssuriano. Enjoyed reading your blog...the part about your mom watching you drive away just made me tear up. I'm sure she's very proud of you. :goodvibes Good luck....

Maybe we all know each other, it is a small world after all :P

And hopefully the weather cools down and crowds stay down for out trip starting the 13th! :D

Yesterday evening was really crowded. According to the lady at the turnstile, was the last Sunday for cast members to sign in their friends for the year. Also, it was a mix-in night for Cast Member parties, as we were informed when we did some shopping.

Was there Wednesday and Friday night. It was busy like a summer day, but not crazy busy like Christmas. The weather was fabulous as mentioned. It's been in the 80's all week.

How funny...I was just going to post that Disneyland was NOT crowded at all after about 9 PM! Which isn't completely accurate; in fact, the walkways were pretty crowded. But the lines...! You could get a Fastpass for Space Mountain after 9 PM (actually, until about 10:30 or later...I could find the EXACT time they switched them off because I walked up when it said I could get a Fastpass, and I put my ticket in to get another one and suddenly I couldn't. LOL).

I was able to get 2 (almost 3) FPs after getting back to the main part of Disneyland after 8 PM. Most of them were unnecessary, though--the Indiana Jones one, the FP line and regular line were identical. Ditto BTMRR (and BTMRR and fireworks IS worth the hype! Do it! LOL). Having the FP for that ride did allow me to walk through the queue just slightly faster than the people to the right, but they didn't even collect the Fastpass as there was NO line on either side prior to the FP collection point.

Star Tours' FP line was so long I passed it by 2 or 3 times...then it went down at some point. I walked by right about the time it came back up and didn't even use my FP (though I guess I could've, since I didn't make it back there again). So the only FP I used in DL was the Space Mountain one, which did save me probably 15-20 minutes of waiting.

A Haunted Mansion one would have been useful, had I wished to ride...but it went down sometime around 8 or 9; IDK if it went back up or not.

World of Color was still giving out 8 PM show FPs when I reentered DCA sometime around maybe 6:30 PM. I almost considered waiting for a 9:15 PM pass; I am sure that show didn't come remotely close to selling out.

It seemed like most of the people around were hardcore Disney fans...the people in front of me for Star Tours had a Disney trivia app (and knew most of the answers!) and walking off of Indiana Jones a woman was saying what a good day it was and that she saw Maynard. LOL

I was there both Friday and Sunday with different groups of friends. Friday was the more crowded day of the two, but not overwhelming. We did wait 40 min. for Pirates in the mid-afternoon. The extended queue looked daunting, but it moved at a decent pace.

Friday morning was EMPTY until about 11.
LOL, my friends and I were among those arriving Friday morning at 10:30am and contributed to the sudden influx of crowds to the park. We parked in the Toy Story Lot and OMG, it was the first time I've experienced a significant wait for the buses at that particular lot. The cast members did a great job keeping everyone organized and the line moving, but I think we were in a constantly moving line for about 12-15 minutes before getting on a bus.

Sunday during the day, it wasn't too bad. And much better than Friday, which surprised me! With Sunday being the only day of the long weekend where SoCal APs were unblocked, I thought it would be busier than Friday. Turns out it was the opposite. We rode Star Tours in the morning with a 25 minute wait. I did see Pirates go up to a 30 min. wait, but that's still shorter than our wait on Friday. We left at 7:30pm though, so I can't speak to the evening crowds with much authority. But the daytime crowds were pretty good!

We were there! Thanksgiving day - Saturday, it was busy but not miserable *warmer and more crowded than the same days last year. We collected many FPs *rode Star Tours at least 6 times always with a FP, took advantage of SR lines *lots of times on Screamin', once on Indy & Splash and got there early/at park opening. DCA was never super busy at all, sometimes quite empty - but the walls and walk ways are a bother.
