Anyway around this....??

Hi, I just booked my ADRS for July(12-16) staying at SSR (I am a DVC Member). I had to book a split stay SSR (12-16) and BCV (17-19) because I could not get BCV for the whole time, BUT I am Waitlisted for BCV. But when I went to do my ADRS for the July 17-19th I could not because the computer saw it as a seperate stay. Is there any way around this for guests doing a split say??? Or am I STUCK calling back Saturday at 7am!!:scared1: Thanks , Joan
 
I called this morning and was able to make ressies for the same week even though we have a split stay. Call back and try again. I think it depends on the person you get.

Hi, I did call back and was given the same answer. I even asked for a supervisor but the CM said no one could make any ADRS for me it was the way the system was set up and "no one can over ride it". I explained I am a DVC member and have 3 different res. and she said I should complain to DVC. She did not think it was a big deal to have to call back a couple of more times. I was just expecting to get ALL my ADRS this morning and be all set for July.:sad2: I have not read of anyone else with split stays having this problem?? Do you have 2 reservation #'s for your split stay?? Thanks, Joan
 
I have two different ressie numbers. I am staying 2 nights at a DVC then and changing to a non-DVC resort (2 nights). They allowed me to make ADRs for my length of stay and didn't even ask questions. I was prepared to argue too!
 

Joan S. We had the same problem. Call back!!! I had no problem and I actually have 3 different reservation numbers as we are moving twice during our stay. Just explain it all to them. Tell the cm to try - they'll be surprised!
 
I just called back...and was able to as well.
First one said no...second one said..."let's give it a try"

Hi, I did call again tonite. I had a VERY nice CM that TRIED and TRIED to help me,but the computer would not let her.:sad2: Maybe SOME CM's know a way around this??:confused3 Anyway she wanted to connect me to the "Dining HELP LINE" but it was taking too long and I was tired so she gave me the e-mail for my complaint and I sent that out tonite. The reason this bothers me SO MUCH is because we almost always stay at 2 or 3 resorts each visit. We own DVC points at 3 resorts and will do weekends at a hotel sometimes so we always have more than 1 reservation number. There has to be a way that the computer can recognize that I have just changed resorts but have a continuous stay booked!! :headache: Joan
 
I actually had 4 reservations. When I did the first one...she was able to book into the second one...tried into the third and nothing was coming up for times so I stopped. I tried MS later that afternoon. Couldn't go beyond the 2nd reservation. Yesterday I had the last two reservations and expected it not to work again...I never told the CM I had two...she never asked and kept going until I had the last days of the trip. So, again I really made adrs for a split stay. Mine were linked too just like 2 and 3...didn't seem to matter.

A friend of mine tried this morning and they said no. Called back...no again and didn't try. Called again tonight knowing I had done two of mine and went through 3 reservation numbers without any issue. From what she could tell too there was nothing special the CM did. She did the full first 10 days of her stay.

I have no idea, but it seems unfair for split stays and it is a pain. I hope they figure this out before our next trip. It's confusing with check in and check out dates when to call.:headache:

Thanks for verifying that I am not the only one UPSET over this issue. Hopefully I will gte a call from my e-mail!! Joan

That's too bad. Being DVC shouldn't be a big disadvantage to your planning. I would try again. If they offer to connect you to the help line, stay on the phone. I think you'll get much better service that way than email.

Hi, Maybe I will try to get connected to the "Dining Help Line" that is what the CM I spoke with called it. I know I should have stayed on the phone but it was after 10pm and my call had started at about 9:30. I should have not called when I was so tired:sad2:. But I was SO TIRED because I had gotten up at 6:50am to make my ADRS for all 7 nites of my trip in July!! Joan
