Anytime FP and 4th fastpass

Not sure if this is documented elsewhere, but this was my experience with "anytime" fastpass (one you get when ride is down).

Scenario:

- First 2 FP's are for tier 2 rides. 3rd FP was for Tier 1.
- Both tier 2 FP's were down, and got anytime FP for both.
- Used one of the anytime FP's, but not the 2nd one
- Used 3rd fp (tier 1).
- Went to make a 4th FP for another tier 1 ride. Unable due to not using first 3 FP for the day.
- Went and "burned" the 2nd anytime FP. Still unable to make a 4th FP. Keep in mind I had now used 3 FP's
- Had to make two tier 2 FP's and use them before I could book a "fourth" fastpass (in reality, my 6th).

Moral of the story. The anytime FP's don't "count" for your 3 FP allotment. I believe I could have held 5 FP's at once had I booked the 2 replacement tier 2's after getting the anytimes.

Yes. You would have had 5 active FPs in your account. The Anytime FPs are bonus "additions" and don't count towards your initial 3 FPs.

As soon as an Anytime is issued, it's best to go into the app and rebook the downed FP.

I'm a little confused. Are you saying that if the system gives you an anytime FP because of an attraction being unavailable, you can also rebook the original FP?

Yes!

Think of the "Anytime" as an "appeasement FP" - Disney is known for this - and immediately go into the app and book another FP that will count as a regular FP.

Just to be sure I understand, if the ride happens to come back up during your original FP window you can use it plus you still have the anytime FP right?
