Anything special going on second half of May?

We never go this time of year but are going May 18-25 for DD's birthday. We will miss F&G by a day. Is there anything else going on that isn't a permanent offering that we should check out ?(anything, rides, shows, etc.)

They extended the F&G festival- it ends May 30. You'll be able to enjoy it!

Not anymore... The last 3 weekends in May and the first two in June were the dates for Star Wars Weekends. They did away with that starting this year, on account of it not being very popular (sarcasm).

That being said, May is (was) my favorite time to go. The weather is great, and if you go before Memorial Day Weekend, you'll still get the drier weather.

I'm going the 24th! If all goes as planned, the new show in Disney's Animal Kingdom, Rivers of Light should be open when you are there.

Too bad you won't be in Epcot for May 17th. That's Norwegian Independence Day (Syttende mai). They will have some special ways to celebrate, I would guess...Or you could just head over there for a skolebolle (school bun) there anyhow.

Rivers of Light is rumored (and fairly likely) for a mid-April open. There will also be the new Star Wars stage show starting April 4th and Captain Phasma and some First Order Stormtroopers start formation marches the same day.

We are going in mid-May as well. We'd booked for what we thought would be the first two SWW, until they cancelled them.

There is also supposed to be a new Star Wars themed fireworks show in DHS, but who knows when that will open.
