Anything special for July 4th?

This will be our first cruise and we are very excited. We are going on July 4th. This may be a stupid question, but I was wondering if they will have fireworks or anything special that night.

Hoping to know this also. This is also our 1st cruise. I figured that the 3 nights at Disney World we will see lots of fireworks anyway.

We were on the Magic last year for the 4th of July. There was not much- we were on CC that day and there was nothing. That evening the had red/white/blue balloons in the atruim. They had the characters and the captain come out, then the balloons dropped. Some contained prizes. They were slips of paper you redeemed for these 4th of July hats.
A pin was also released for the 4th. I had heard that the Wonder had fireworks because they were in Nassau.

I am crossing my fingers for fireworks on the Magic because we will be in Key West--they HAVE to have an awesome display there, right?

Robin,

I would think that Key West would have some sort of display since we are on US soil, but DH and I looked at some event calendars for Key West and didn't find anything scheduled.

We were also wondering if we will be in the middle of the late dinner seating when fireworks usually go off. It will be daylight for SO long that time of the year so they should be fairly late. I'm guessing that sunset in Key West in July won't be until 9:30-9:45!!
