We will be arriving on Easter day and I have no idea what it will be like. I've never been to the parks on a holiday other than Halloween and Mother's Day, and I haven't found anything on the disney website about any special events.

Does anyone know if MK will have a special parade for Easter? What special dining will be available? Epcot has the brunch among the flowers for mother's day. will there be anything similar? I found a few things on wdwig.com -- but it just lists "Easter Holiday offering" or "Easter holiday buffet" -- and CRO had no idea what these entailed, any ideas?

Also, if anyone has been for easter in the past, what have the crowds been like? It's not my 1st choice for time of year, but like everyone else it's when the kids have off!

Thanks in advance!

They usually have a FABULOUS Easter Parade down Main St. in Magic Kingdom! Complete with lots of strolling ladies in bonnets, lots of old-fashioned costumes, and of course, the Easter Bunny himself! All the characters were dressed in their best Easter finery :) I'd make sure I was there early enough to catch it!!

I know the restaurants also offer holiday meals...usually in a traditional vein...something you'd make at home. Ham, turkey, all the fixings, etc... so you don't have to miss the big, traditional meal just because you're at Disney!!

Have a great time!

When's the last time you saw the Easter Parade???? I don't think they do it any more.

OH NO!!!!!!!!! I admit, it's been a few years. It was the last time we lived in FL...drove down from Jacksonville just to see it. Think that was 99, maybe 98? Haven't lived close enough to go down just for a parade in quite awhile, so we've avoided the spring break crunch!

Anyone been there the last couple years at Easter? Is it really gone?

The last year was 1998. They usually have a pre-parade before SaDCT but not a seperate parade.

The UK Pavilion has a cute little tea for the younger crowd running that weekend! And the best part it's free!

Other than that there is the few resorts that have an Easter Egg Hunt of some sort!

We were there last year expecting to see the BIG Easter day parade. We were very surprised to see only the horse drawn trolley decorated near the castle. Come parade time, they had a few dancers and Mr and Mrs Easter Bunny on board and they would stop along Main Street and get out and dance and wave. It was nice, but nothing like the old parades.

We saw the parade in 2000, but apparently they don't have it anymore. Also in 2000 there was a HUGE chocolate Easter egg in the Land pavillion in epcot. You might want to see if that's there, because that is an amazing sight.
