My husband and I were married in november 2000 and took our honeymoon to Walt Disney World. We stayed in the wilderness lodge and loved it! We are returning this november with our children. We decided to stay at the all star movie resort to save money to do some extra things with the kids and we also thought that it was more disney themed since our youngest is five and has never been! We will be there during our anniversary and I was wondering if anyone has ever gotten anything extra/special just for mentioning it was their anniversary.

We will be celebrating our 25th at Disney. You can get an anniversary button at your resort or guest services at any of the parks and wear it during your trip. This is similar to the birthday button. I wore the birthday button for my 50th birthday this past September, and CM's would wish me a happy birthday, I was brought a cupcake or small piece of cake at several restaurants (my DH had made note on all of our ADR's that we were celebrating my birthday). It is all hit or miss...no guarantees that you will get anything. But I have read on the boards that people have gotten the same things I mentioned that I got for my birthday.

My husband and I stayed at POFQ for our anniversary last year. When we checked in at the resort, I requested the anniversary buttons and the CM asked the date of our anniversary. We wore the buttons all week and the CMs around the parks went out of their way to congratulate us and make us feel really special :goodvibes

When we got back to our room from the parks on the day of our anniversary, we found a card with a nice large photo and signatures of Mickey and Minnie! They attached balloons as well, and we thought it was sweet of them to honor our special day. We had dinner at the California Grill that night (I mentioned it would be our anniversary when making the ADR), and they had sprinkled Mickey-shaped confetti on the table for us.

It was also nice to see others wearing the buttons, like a special club :flower3: Those little touches made for a wonderful week!

We went to Walt Disney World last year for the first time ever to celebrate our 5 yr anniversary. We took our children who were 4 and 3 yrs old. We got the buttons and we had a lot of CM's tell us happy anniversary. It was noted on all of our reservations but nothing special was done for us. We stayed at the CBR.

Congratulations!
Another idea is to order an anniversary cake and have it delivered to your room. I bet your kids will like that.
I will be at Disney in two weeks celebrating our 10th Anniversary. Our honeymoon was spent at POR but we are staying at AKL for our anniversary. I have never been to AKL. Our trip is only a three night stay since we will be without the kids. My girls 4 and 7 love Disney and said they are ok with us going without them since we said we were not doing any parks. They think we'll be bored. Sleep Late, shop, lounge by the pool with an adult drink. Yeah Boring!
Good Luck

Two years ago we were there for our 10th anniversary. We had it noted on our ressie at BOMA. When we arrived we were given a card signed by all/most the CM's with their native country listed under it. Then Chef TJ brought us a special entree and dessert.
It was great! I'll be there in 2 weeks for our 12th and really hope we receive the same attention!

This past summer we stayed at the Poly with our daughter to celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary. We were given anniversary buttons at check in and lots of pixie dust during the week. We requested a room in Samoa with a view of the volcano pool - a wish that was granted... we had patio access to the pool - it was an amazing room. We were given a special table at Ohana (a window seat with a view of the Volcano Pool and Cindy's Castle). We had a table at Crystal Palace decorated with confetti and flowers (the confetti was in a heart shape). The chef at San Angel Inn in Mexico in Epcot sent over a special dessert to us in honor of our anniversary. We had lunch at Cindy's Castle on the actual day of our anniversary, the table was decorated with confetti and we were given a pair of champagne flutes (that read, "Cinderella's Royal Table") as an anniversary gift. Everywhere we went we were greated with congratulations and smiles. WDW is a wonderful place to spend an anniversary.

We will be taking a 25th anniversary trip in August even though our actual anniversary is not until October (can't take teenagers out of school and wouldn't want to deal with homework anyway). Is is wrong for us to let them know it is our 25th anniversay trip even though we are off a couple of months?

Absolutely nothing wrong with doing that. We were there in September for my 50th birthday which isn't until December. We are going again this September for our 25th anniversary and our actual date is in May. We can't go in May because our oldest son is graduating college the weekend of our anniveresary...and I guess it would seem a little odd if we weren't at the graduation ceremony...especially after paying for it for four years! :lmao:

We celebrated our 30th anniversary in October and we were surprised to receive a white chocolate Mickey Mouse and 4 strawberries decorated with chocolate tuxedos on a plate with a Happy Anniversary card. It was a really special, unexpected gift that made our stay even more magical.

:cool1: So cool. We can not wait to wear 25th aniversary buttons when we go to WDW !
It will be our son's 18th birthday too. So we do not want to wear our buttons on his birthday.
We'lll get something for our DD - age 15, too - or she'll feel she is not part of the WDW magic :goodvibes

We went for our 20th anniversary last year. We mentioned it when booking our reservations, and when we checked in. The CM handed us anniversary badges and that's about it. I had heard so many stories about how the front desk would send surprises to your room for anniversaries, but we didn't get anything. We wore our badges to the parks and restaurants, and we got a few Happy Anniversary wishes from people, but that's about it. So the next day we decided not to wear them and left them on the nightstand. When we got back to our room, there was a stuffed Stitch on our bed holding balloons. I was so surprised. Then the mousekeeper came to the room and said "Oh you're back, I had a card to add to your surprise. I was cleaning your room and saw the anniversary badges on the nightstand and wanted to leave you a surprise." Well, it was just about the nicest thing anyone has ever done for us at WDW! I almost cried. I bought her a card at the gift shop to thank her, and I also wrote the manager of the WL and told him what a great employee she was, and how much we appreciated it. Never heard back from the WL though, but I hope they know what a great CM she is!

So I tell everyone not to go expecting anything, but if you do get some little recognition, just enjoy the magic!

I don't think they have specific button for the 25th anniversary, but they're cute buttons with "Happy Anniversary" and "Where Dreams Come True" written on them and Mickey and Minnie holding hands.

Similar stories for us. We celebrated our 10 year in 1996 with a trip to the WL! When we arrived they had the autographed card from Mickey and Minnie and balloons in our room. We didn't get the pins until later in our trip, but I had mentioned it on all of our ADRs for that week. During our dinner at Crystal Palace one evening they had sprinkled confetti on the table and had tigger join us for 'singing' and a cupcake. It was great!

The DH and I celebrated our anniversary at WDW just last year. We got the Anniversary buttons at chech-in and we wore them the day of our anniversary. Every Disney employee that we came across wished us a Happy Anniversary. It was really special. We ate breakfast at Crystal Palace, and when we were seated, we had a pixie dust heart on our table. We also got a Magical Moments certificate signed by Pooh and all his friends. This was probably the most special thing to me since Pooh is my absolute fave. We had dinner that same night at the California Grill and they brought me this HUGE piece of chocolate cake that had a piece of white chocolate that said "Happy Anniversary from the California Grill". They also gave us a set of chopsticks each, and a photo. It was really nice. I can't think of anywhere better to celebrate than at Disney!

We went to WDW on our 22 anniversary. At check-in the CM gave us anniversary buttons which we placed on our jacket and Baggellini. We lost count of how many times the CM's said Happy Anniversary. We also received an extra large dose of pixie dust--- glasses of champagne and a picture at the Concourse Steakhouse, cookies at the Land eatery, an upgrade to a Magic Kingdom view room and we arrived back at our room one evening to find balloons an autographed picture from Princess Jasmine plus a solid chocolate box filled with hand dipped truffles which were delicious. My husband went from hating Disney to offering a return trip for our 23rd anniversary.:cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

We were at Disney last September for our 20th anniversary. When making reservations my husband said it was our anniversary. At check in we got the anniversary buttons - and as others have said all the CM congratulated us when we wore them in the parks. The actual night of our anniversary we had dinner at Artist Pointe. The staff was wonderful. We got a card and certificate of congratulations signed by everyone! That night in our room as a card, balloons and chocolate from Mickey and Minnie! It was very nice. We are returning again this September and will again be there for our anniversay day. Don't expect anything and if it comes it is all the more fun and memorable!

Oh, I had forgotten about eating at Coral Reef for lunch on our anniversary. They gave us personalized menus that we brought home :cheer2:
