Anything new in 2005?

My son and I had to postpone our trip for this summer to Springbreak of 2005 and I am in serious withdrawal. Is there anything new as to rides, shows, events planned? I know the Mission Space is new and didn't they replace or are in the process of replacing the Alien Encounters? Anything else you know of?

Yes, Alien Encounter was closed a few months ago to be replaced with a family friendly attraction with Stitch. I also know there is a new ride coming to Animal Kingdom called Everest (a roller coaster) but I am not sure when it is to open.

There is Philharmagic in MK, the fireworks show Wishes, Soaring Over California at Epcot due to open in 2005, Stitch's Great Escape at MK due in late 2004, and I believe Expedition Everest at AK is due to open sometime in 2006 (but I can't remember for sure), as well as Mission Space. MS was an awesome ride! I haven't gotten to see Philharmagic yet though. You will have lots of new rides to see!

When we were there last time--- the train engineer at MK and the backlot tour emcee said there will be a lot of new stuff in 2005-- they said all the parks will get new things to celebrate the 50yr anniv. of Disneyland (??) or something along those lines. Didn't say rides necessairly so possibly parades and/or shows too.
