Anything GOOD at Mama Melrose??

We have an ADR for the Fantasmic pkg in October, but all I hear are negative things about Mama Melrose. Has anyone had anything really good there? I'm wondering about all courses... apps, entree, dessert and all. Thanks for helping.

I'm surprised you've only seen negative reports. There are lots of Mama's fans here including my family. We go at least once per trip and usually for lunch.

They have a field greens salad with blue cheese and a balsamic vinegrette dressing that we love. Simple and fresh. The calamari has usually been excellent although the very last time we ordered that a trip or two ago we had lots of overly chewy pieces....but that was only once.

One son loves the Italian sausage dish. Everyone enjoys the flatbreads. We have never had an entree we didn't enjoy besides one sandwich which our server even cautioned us about. It was not good but was off the menu a few months later. And that was several years ago.



We don't usually do dessert at lunch but last trip we tried the tiramasu. I usualy don't enjoy that dish but MM's version was so good.

Penne Alla Vodka and Chicken Parm are our favorite dishes there.
Also love the 4 cheese flatbread and the pepperoni (minus the peppers and onions).

We loved our meal here, It was a place we would definately go back to again. I had the Oven Baked Caprino Cheese and Dh had the Mozz and tomatoes that was also very good. He had the wood grilled salmon that was ok and I had the Veal Osso Buco which was wonderful!!! I finished with the Warm Chocolate Truffle Cake. DD had the pasta with tomato sauce and the choc gelato for dessert.

We had great service, the atmosphere was relaxing and we will be back again! Give it a try!

We normally go to 50's at MGM, but on our last trip we decided we were thoroughly sick of the crowded waiting area there. In the spirit of trying something new, we picked Mama Melrose's for lunch. We really enjoyed it! I got the Grilled Chicken Flatbread and DD24 got the Wood Grilled Shrimp pasta. Both were good, but the flatbread was a favorite.

We enjoyed the much less hectic atmosphere of Mama Melrose's; it was a nice break in the middle of our day.

Our family loves this place too. In December we went twice! I love all the flatbreads, chicken parm, vodka sauce dish and my husband gets pasta with seafood. (can't remember the name) Dessert has been ok. Not the best but good. We are heading back here in September. Yea Ha to free Dinning..

We've had several great meals at Mama's. My favorite dish is the steak with garganzola sauce. If they still have that on the menu, I would highly recommend it. We've also enjoyed the flatbreads, salads and tirmisu.

My family and I LOVE mama's!!

if I can recall right our group last year had the Chicken Parm, Eggplant, flatbreads, Spaghetti Fra Diavolo & Penne Alla Vodka (yum!) and everybody loved there dishes!

Its become a family favorite & I cant wait to go back! (I hear the calamari calling my name )

We ate there this past November and thought it was great! We loved the flatbread and our entrees (salmon and penna ala vodka) were very good. We have ADR's to go back in September.

My thanks to the OP for this thread because now I'm certainly going to Mama's on our Thanksgiving trip. We have several ts meals open and I think this would be a good choice.

You sold me ! booked fantasmic pkg for august trip. Is the Veal osso Buco in a spicy tomatoe sauce? My mom sometimes can't tolerate spices.

We ate there for the first time last Fall. Enjoyed it SO much that it is the very first meal we have planned this Fall!



The kids loved it (they all had salad and pizza) and I couldn't finish my chicken parm. Dh loved the Charred Butcher Tender Steak - on roasted red pepper polenta, grilled asparagus with gorgonzola butter and red wine reduction.. I have this to say about it:

We are *BIG* Mama fans! My boyfriend thinks that the FraDiavlo is the best ever and I love just about all of the pasta dishes! You will have a great time!

Although we are not that fond of Fantasmic, we do love the food at Mama Melrose! Myself & DW get the salad, 4-cheese flatbread, & chicken parmesan-and it's always been really good.

We love Mama Melrose and visit every trip. My favorites are the ceasar salad, grilled chicken flatbread and the shrimp pasta!!! Yummy bread, too... I love the atmosphere, too, since it reminds me of a pizzaria my Grandma used to take me when I was little...
