Hi!! I just booked a trip to Disneyland May 1-3. When I called Disneyland Hotel Standard/Premium rooms are booked as well as Paradise Pier. Does anyone know of something going on early that week?!! The race doesn't start til the following weekend and grad nights not until the 5th! I know May 4th sometimes is a big event for Star Wars?

I don't know how much of an impact it would have but I will be there those dates for IDUG (International DB2 Users Group tech conference). It is at the DL Hotel and the convention rates were pretty good so I don't know how many rooms at the DL Hotel are being taken up by that.

A CM told me that the hotels were now continuously booked at 97%+ capacity, so it might be the short timing.

Thank you both for your responses! I think both of those sound like exactly like what is going on!

I did notice that rooms seem to open up at all three hotels about 7 days before travel. My guess is that is people cancelling refundable rooms (or unsold blocks being released). So check back if you really want to stay there.

Thats a good idea, Ill start calling early next month to see if the blocks are released!

It's my birthday during those days. Maybe Disney is throwing me a party and everyone wanted to come...

Ohh okay, THIS explains it!! lol
