hi all

am off to DLP in 17 days and counting :)

and I was just about to book our character meals - including a buffet lunch at the Lucky Nugget Salooon

but on checking a website that reviews the restaurants - I notice that this one is marked as not providing any vegetarian options.

usually I manage fine at buffets on pizza and salad etc while my little boy goes to town on the meat

but this has me concerned that I won't find anything to eat at all

could anyone who has been there recently confirm whether or not I will be confined to bread and water?

(I'm not a vegan so eggs/cheese are fine)

thanks in advance

Sarah

I haven't eaten there but DLPfoodguide said this:- Assorted Crudités, Chicken Wings, Nachos, Salsa, Chicken
Fajitas, Pork Spare Ribs, Chili Con Carne, Pasta, Pizza and a
large chioce of desserts and sweets.

Someone in the reviews page mentioned these:- tortilla chips, salad bar, prawn cocktail, boiled eggs, soup, bread rolls, pasta, spaghetti bolagnase, meatballs, mickey chicken shapes, steak, casserole, 4 cheese tortellini, large selection of desserts inc mini milk ice-creams.

And one other:- We had booked our character meal here before arriving at Disneyland Paris and I was a bit worried after reading the details on this site that vegetarians were not catered for but whilst there was not an extensive vegetarian choice it was adequate. There was a huge choice of starters, main courses and some lovely desserts. For kids there was pasta with a choice of sauces, meatballs, pizza, nuggets, bolognaise, mixed vegetables and chips! I had couscous, boiled eggs and tortilla chips as a starter then a mixed bag of chips, pasta and a tomato and basil sauce and then a selection of maybe 4 desserts.

Hope that helps!

oooh - thank you - couscous sounds promising :)

doesn't look like I'm going to starve then :)

(I'm in Wilts too, btw, small world)

I'm in that beautiful metropolis they call Swindon :)

ah - that's the site I was looking at - I just saw "vegetarian meals = no" on the front page and panicked

We went to Swindon way once but all the roundabouts scared my husband :rotfl:

It is a bit odd to have "no" if there's some bits and bobs to eat. Perhaps "limited" would be better :confused3

I'm struggling to remember a list for you, but there definitely will be things you can eat. For starters there is a wide salad selection, tortilla chips and dips, rolls and soup (which was veggie the 2 times we were there but I guess may not always be), chips, vegetables, I'm sure there's a vegetarian hot option, and there's LOTS of puddings! The one thing I do remember is that last time the mexican rice was NOT vegetarian which I thought was rather wierd, since it's pretty easy to make that suitable for everyone.
