My 2 year old will be 3 at the end of the year, but she is so very tall (41"). I get comments on her daily. ('She's only two?!??!?!') So I was thinking I should probably bring a copy of her birth certificate with me. We have never been stopped at WDW because she was in her stroller, but I was planning on using my VISA free stroller rental perk. So she will be walking in. And we will be using only one Toontown ticket for me and then she does not need one.

Anyone been stopped and questioned? I figure its safest to have the birth certificate with me. (Stewardess even asked for it on the plane before she was two! After the gates had checked it!)

Just wondering others experiences.

TIA!

Wow, that IS tall!

I haven't seen anyone questioned, and we haven't been, and many have said that it won't happen. BUT when DS was 2 on our trip last year, I brought a copy in a ziplok bag, just to make sure our bases were covered.

I have very tall boys also. I get that question a lot from people who don't really notice the faces. The face is what usually you can tell from the most with kids.
I will say, as many times as we have gone we were never asked that question nor asked to prove it. Mine are now 5 and 7 this year, and we have been going with them since they where I think 1 and 3.
So call Disney and see what the rules are on it? To find out if you even need to bring anything to prove it.

It also depends on the person at the gate... I have an AP with my picture on it and I still had one lady hastle me.... Usually I would have gotten very upset about it, but hey I was at Disney and wasn't going to let anyone wreck that for me.

I say better safe than sorry. Bring a copy of the birth certificate. :thumbsup2

My daughter is very tall for her age too. People are always thinking that she is at least 2 years older than she is. She is 7 and 54" tall now. When we went to DL before she turned 3, I took her BC, but nobody ever asked.

DL cannot ask for a birth certificate. They do not have that right (and how many people really think to bring it?) and their policy is that they are not to ask for it.

One thing you could do, if you are really worried about it, is to get her an emergency bracelet with her DOB on it. My daughter has one because of her heart condition, but you can get one just with your cell phone number and her name and dob in it in case of an emergency or if she gets lost. They are sterling silver, you have probably seen them or had one as a child yourself, I know I did. Here is an example http://www.idtags.com/?gclid=CKzkxor06I4CFRpkYQodAm4lNg. If you are questioned, you can show them the bracelet. But I really don't think you'll have a problem, they usually just ask how old she is, you say 2, and they move along. I have also seen them ask the child how old she is to see what she says, as long as she does not say 3, they go with it. Most kids under 3 can't tell you how old they are or are too shy to answer, and most older kids are proud of how old they are and will tell anyone, so they give it away themselves.

My son is also tall for his age and they never asked us. In June I found myself having the same concern again, he had just turned 9 and was still good for the kid ticket. But looked more like an 11 year old! But they never asked then either!

For this trip he's still 9, but we all have season passes, so it shouldn't be a problem!
